here's an update for the scare there, but it had to be done in order to lead up to this point in the story, but I hope you enjoy the begin of this chapter because things are about to get real.

I walked out of the bathroom and into my room, I laid down on the bed facing Emily and said "you asked for me?," she replied "I'm sorry, if I hadn't of gone for a run, you wouldn't need to keep me awake, because if I sleep you know I might die." I stroked her hair comfortingly replying "no, babygirl, it's not your fault, they attacked me as well, I almost drowned to death in the ocean, I was so scared that you might lose me. When Nick told me we had to go home because you were attacked as well, I feared I was going to lose you, the most important person in my life."

Emily leaned her head against my chest and closed her eyes as she wrapped her arms around me, I wrapped my arms around her, and closed my eyes relishing the moment, that's when I realized she had fallen asleep. I put my head on her chest listening to her heartbeat, she seems strong enough to sleep, I guess I'll wake her up if her condition changes, but I soon began to drift off to sleep as well tired from today's ordeals.

{Emily's Uncle Dave's P.O.V.}

My boys picked to patio and front doors locks, once the door were unlocked the quietly filed into the house, guns up, I went upstairs with three others, and unlocked what I remember to be Demi's room. I opened the door slowly to see my niece and her adoptive mother, sleeping with their arms wrapped around each other, I signaled for one of the guys behind me to tie their hands behind their backs, as my guy finished tieing Demi's hands she woke up.

{Demi's P.O.V.}

I woke up and felt a hand covering my mouth, I tried to move my hands but failed they were tied behind my back, I soon realized me and Emily weren't alone in the room, four other people were in here 3 by the door, 1 holding me tightly. Someone walked over and tied Emily's wrist together, then he picked her up and carried her sleeping form out of the room, I struggled in the person's grip trying to get free and failing. A man walked over to me and said "oh don't even bother struggling or calling for help, because as soon as someone tries to help you, or you free yourself, well let's just say well shot your girl on sight.

Tears fell down my cheeks as I allowed the men to walk me downstairs and out the front door, I watched one of them drop a note on Nick's chest, as he slept in the guest room, when I got to the van they shoved me and Emily's sleeping form was laid next to me. I slouched down so my head rested on Emily's chest, her heart beat was quiter, weaker than the last time I listened to it, I nudged her with my shoulder and said "baby girl wake up, please, we are in danger."

She opened her eyes and said "what's going on, why can't I move my hands or my ankles," I replied "we've been kidnapped, I'm sorry, I fell asleep, this wouldn't of happened if I hadn't," she scooted closer to me and said "it's not your fualt it's mine. They only took you because your my mom, an because I care about you," I shook my head and she leaned her head on my chest replying "they want me dead the only way to stop them from ever hurting you is for me to die."

Tears streamed down my face as the car stopped and they dragged us out of the van, I grabbed some sharp thing behind me that kept poking me in the back, and began to try and cut the ropes with it. I looked around and realized they had brought us to a bridge, I looked down and saw the water a good 90 or so feet below, I whispered "pencil dive into the water and you'll live, grab a rock at the bottom so they think you died."

They pushed Emily away from me and she said "I love you mom", before they pushed her over the railing, I watched as she splashed into the water and didn't surface, they began pushing me to the edge. I was almost through the rope on my wrists, I finally cut myself free as they pushed me over the railing, I splashed into the water moments later and looked around for Emily under the surface. I finally found her, her hands and ankles wrapped in long moss, I freed her and began to swim toward the direction of the bridge, I surfaced as my lungs began screaming for air.

I realized that we were under the bridge, I brought Emily to the rocky shoreline under the bridge and untied her hands and feet before I listened to her chest she's alive, but barely breathing, I rolled her onto her side and sat down next to her. Water trickled out of her mouth and she gave a weak cough and rolled onto her stomach, and continued to cough up water, I held her shoulders in case her arms gave out.

When she stopped coughing I placed her in my lap and said "we'll be okay, I promise," suddenly I heard footsteps and whispered "go into the water and stay under, now," she went under the water soundlessly. I peeked around the edge of the bridge to see a man with a gun coming down the hill, I then turned and went under the water quietly, I grabbed Emily's hand and pointed upstream, she nodded and swam in that direction.

I stayed where I was and let water fill my mouth before I allowed my body to limply float to the surface , I hear someone talk, then the loud crunches as if someone was walking away up a hill, I lifted my head out of the water. I swam to where Emily's eyes were peering out from behind the bridge pole, she smiled at me and we hugged before swimming to shore. Emily questioned "how will we get home?," as she leaned on me, I replied "I'm not sure, but I'll figure something out, I promise."
