Chapter 15 - Tour Problems

HEY GUYS this is the chapter i've been wanting to write for a while you might freak out after you read it, though I'm just saying, and i apologize for the giant time gap

[1 Week Later] 

Nick just finished performing his song I'm on in 1 minute, Emily came over to me and said "you'll do great I know it, but be careful, something isn't right, I can feel it," I nodded replying "I know, and I will," before I gave her a hug. I said "go get in the audience with Natalia, and watch me perform," I stepped onto the stage lift and said "Demi you can do this," as the stage lift began lifting me onto the stage. I took a few steps out on the stage before I began to sing, giving the performance my all, I began to feel like someone was watching me, like someone was stalking me, weird.

{Emily's P.O.V.} 

It's the last song of the performance and I still feel like something is off, like something is going to go wrong, I suddenly heard a voice come over my ear piece it said, "watch out, I'm coming for you Demetria." My heart began to race and I looked towards the stage to see a sniper's laser pointed at Demi, my eyes widened, and I started running toward the stage but it was too late, I heard gunshot and saw that Demi was now holding one hand over her stomach and the other over her chest, as she collapsed on the stage. I climbed onto the stage, Natalia followed, Nick was already crouched down next to her, someone ran out with a medkit, Nick pulled out his phone and stood up.

A few minutes later he kneeled back down neck to her and said "hang in there Dem a ambulance is on the way, just hold on," I stood there starring Nat was sitting on her other side she came over to me and said "she asked for you, go to her, I know your scared." I walked over and kneeled down next to her the person with the medkit pulled out goz and pressed it onto the wounds, Demi gasped. I said "hey," she looked up at me and said "it'll be okay," quietly my eyes filled with tears and I replied "you don't know that, you're lying here bleeding out and you tell me it'll be okay." The head security guard came over my ear piece and said "we lost two team members but the shooter was detained, the cops and ambulance have arrived, they have arrested the shooter." 

The E.M.T's rushed over and put Demi on a stretcher, Nick and Nat followed, Nat grabbed my hand and dragged me into the ambulance with them, she said "how did the shooter even get in, with a sniper rifle." I looked up and said "how did you know it was a sniper rifle?," she gulped and said "the targeting dot," I grew angry and replied "lots of guns have targeting dots, you, you let the shooter in didn't you! Thats where you went off to while I was talking to Demi, HOW COULD YOU NATALLIA, I THOUGHT WE WERE FAMILY, I thought I could trust you," she sighed and said "If i didn't let him in he was going to shoot me, you, and Demi, I'm sorry I--." I cut her off and said "I don't want you excuses, Demi was right not to trust you completely betrayed us, you should be in jail with the shooter, I don't want to see you near her ever again!"

Natalia looked startled Nick grabbed my arms and said "she said she did it to save you all," "I turned to Nick and said "that's no excuse for what she has done," Natalia said "I told him not to kill her, he was going to shoot her heart/head. I let him in so he would give her a chance to live and so we could live," I tried to get out of Nick's grasp so I could slap my cousin, Demi's hand on my fist made me relax. I looked at her and she mumbled "no more injuries today," I sighed and said "fine," as I relaxed and tried to calm down.

When the ambulance got to the hospital Nick told us to wait in the waiting room, while he talked to the doctor, I sat on the opposite side of the waiting room from Natalia, I want to get as far away from her as I can. Nick came back a few minutes later and said "the shot to her chest just barely nicked her heart she's lucky she didn't bleed out internally, and the shot to her stomach didn't puncture her stomach completely so the bullet is lodged in the lining of her stomach. She's lost a lot of blood and needs a blood transfusion and surgery to remove the bullets."

The doctor came over and said "there's a small problem with her surgery, and she has a rare blood type. We don't have enough 0-negative blood to do the surgery there's only enough for the blood transfusion, we checked the medical records of her friends, family, and foster children. Are her mother or foster child Emily Rosa around," I stood up and said "I'm Emily Rosa," he replied "would you be willing to donate a pint of blood for her surgery?," I nodded and he said "follow me." I followed him into Demi's room and he told me to sit down, he tied a rubber band around my arm and stuck a needle in, then he took the rubber band off. he attached a blood bag to the needle and said "when the bag is full we'll take the blood bag off you and Demetria will be ready for surgery." 

About fifteen minutes later the doctor came back and took the blood bag off, he then removed the I.V. needle from my arm and covered it with a bandaid, he then told me I could head back down to the waiting room. I took one more glance at Demi before I walked out the door, and headed toward the waiting area, how did I not see Natalia's betrayal coming, I mean I was with her the entire time, I should've noticed, how did I not suspect anything, I'm just stupid. God I'm so stupid, I should've never let her go off alone, I could've stopped this from happening, if' I had died in that car crash two years ago then this wouldn't be happening.
