Once I returned to my friends the round table they surrounded were empty.
"Quinn, you're back!" Maggie exclaimed as she stood up. She headed towards me and held my hands whilst giving me a worried look.
"Are you okay?" she asked. I tilted my head.
"Well, yes." I shrugged.
"Sorry we didn't go after you. We kind of needed food." she fidgeted before me.
"Oh, no, don't worry about that. I understand." I said and swallowed. Of course they needed food. Probably more than I needed it. My stomach would only growl for awhile.
"We knew Dwight wouldn't do anything to harm you." Leon said and gave me a kind smile.
"Except verbally." I rolled my eyes.
"Did he say anything?" Nath questioned.
"He once again said I was stupid in a way." I growled.
"Did you guys hear anything about a transferform?" I asked.
"Yeah, all new students fill it. They school board needs to know certain things about the students. For example if the student gets affected differently to the various blood types and such." Leon explained. He obviously was a person who spoke with his hands because they were in the air the whole time. I nodded in response whilst letting out a sound of understanding.
"But isn't it different for humans?" Nath asked and got our attention.
"Yeah, isn't it?" Maggie turned from Nath to Leon almost slapping my face with her ponytails.
"That is true. I think there a questions such as if you've been in contact with vampires before or if you knew that you are a vampire and what not." He explained whilst scratching his honeyblond hair.
"I assume you haven filled in such a form?" Nath asked me to which a shook my head as a reply.
"Just talk to Elenor and she will get you one!" Maggie chippered.
"Yes, I will do so." I smiled down at my clingy friend who had wrapped her arms around my left arm.
"You should eat some breakfast before lessons start." Leon said and grabbed a lunchbag from the seat next to him. Maggie let go of me and I headed towards the seat besides Leon.
"Thanks." I said smiling as I seized the bag from him. It was another kind of sandwhich, this time with tomatoes which I removed. I've never been a fan of tomatoes. When I was a child my grandmother would always make put red paprika in my sallads because she thought it looked boring without the red. No complains there, I like paprika. I took a big bite of the sandwhich.
"I assume you don't have fang-checkup with us?" Nath said with a slight smirk on her lips. I shook my head violently. I've never seen any my friends fangs, let alone anyone's fangs. A bit strange actually, since I am attending a vampire school. However, seeing them would probably be scared out of my wits. I am not ready to take that step, hell, I thought I was ready to watch my friends drink blood.
"Then, are you all alone? Do you want to wait outside our class?" Leon asked showing his gentle self.
"I'm fine," I said and smiled at him.
"I have poetry." I said pleased. I like poetry. I had this class at my previous school and I had a good grade aswell. It seems like Elenor took notice of that and placed me in this class.
"Poetry?" Maggie frowned.
"Don't worry, I like poetry." I reasurred her, letting out a slight laugh in reaction to her expression.
"I know that." She said, nodding as she folded her arms over her chest.
"How would you know?" Leon said.
"Leon, they're roommates." Nath said as if it was obvious why she knew. Though I haven't told Maggie anything about my love for books.
"Yesterday when I went to pick her up I meet her while she was carrying a load of books. Isn't it obvious that she likes to read?" Maggie explained, shrugging. However that may be true, those books were not my kind of books.
"Either way, we should hurry to the check up." Nath said as she stood up. I quickly pushed the last piece of the sandwhich and my mouth and followed her movements, not as graciously but I got up.
"I'll show Quinn to her classroom and met up with you at the check up guys." Leon said as we went two seperate ways once we left the diner.
"Thanks for showing me the way." I thanked Leon as we walked down the hallway. I was getting used to the stares and the creepy sniffs. Though it was still uncomfortable when they came near but at times Leon switched sides with me so they would not get too close.
"No worries. Didn't we already make clear tht we were friends and this is was friends do?" Leon said as he looked down at me. I rolled my eyes but smiled.
"I can still be thankful, right?" This time Leon mimicked my eyerolling and we couldn't help but to laugh.
"Enjoying your time with the monsters?" I heard a husky voice announce it presence. I turned only to she Dwight smirking.
"What do you want?" I hissed, shocking myself. I am not really one to be this bold, let alone this pesky. Nevertheless, my socialskills are not the worst the could happen to me.
"Nothing." he said nonchalantly whilst shrugging. He then past us, bumping my should so I stumble backwards only to have Leon catch my shoulders.
"Rude jerk." I muttered under my breath.
"I can still hear you, sugar." he raised his voice as he entered a room infront of us. I frowned as I stood straight.
"You okay?" Leon asked, worringly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I sighed.
"I can't believe I have to be taught by him." I sulked.
"If you want ... I can talk to Elenor and perhaps get Nora to teach you?" he suggested carefully.
"Who's Nora?" I asked, one eyebrow lifting.
"She's another human-turning-vampire-teacher." He explained.
"I thought the other one was Joshua?" I questioned, tilting my head. Leon smiled.
"There are five. Dwight, Joshua and Nora in second year and Elizabeth and Charlie in third year." He continued with his explanation to which I nodded to in response.
"And I was stuck with Dwight..." I sighed once again.
"I believe Joshua were supposed to be your teacher at first but Dwight had more lessons with you." H said and folded his arms over his chest. I leaned on one foot and mimicked his armmovements.
"Then why not Nora?" I asked.
"Well..."He hesitated. I pushed him to answer with my stare.
"She was the teacher to the student who killed himself." He revealed which made me swallow and blink nervously.
"Of course it wasn't her fault!" He defended her.
"She really did everything she could but not everyone takes it so well. This whole vampire thing." He continued.
"I can see why." I murmured.
"We can talk more later but we should really get going." He said and scratched the back of his head.
"Oh, yes, of course." I said standing straight.
"Poetry is just in that classroom." He said and pointed at the room infront of us. I froze.
"That's the classroom where..?" I begun but Leon interrupted.
"Sorry!" He said and vanished. I held my breath only to let out a huge sigh. This is just my luck.
