Everything went blank. Dwights other hand had found my cheek and was pulling me towards him. Shock had paralysed me once again however it did not stop me from feeling. This time I noticed how soft yet cold Dwights lips were. They tasted surprisingly sweet which was sort of enchanting. Albeit, before I succumbed to his charms I pulled back and compulsorily my hand rose to the air, ready to land on Dwights cheek. I don't understand why I still tried this action when I knew the result would be the same. He had caught my wrist without even looking at it. I scowled but Dwight wore a triumphant smirk. I tore my gaze from Dwight towards the window where Leon had been standing though he were no longer anywhere to be seen.
"How unecessary." I scowled and turned on my heel. I could hear him smirk.
"Did we upset your boyfriend?" He voiced after me. I spun around as quickly as a human could manage.
"Why are you even doing this?" I mustered up courage enough to yell at him. However, he only shrugged and gave a casually reply.
"Cause' it's fun?" He looked so disinterested which only bothered me even more. Nonetheless, I did not have an answer. He sighed and begun walking towards me. I was sulking and planning to say something equally malicious. I didn't look up at him but in the corner of my eye I could see him standing next to me, sighing.
"Where were you two heading?" He asked which was not a nasty comment which I was expecting, and I looked up.
"To get a math-book." I stuttered in incomprehension. His brow furrowed.
"From Reichard?" He asked in a deliberate tone.
"uh huh." I replied trying to sound casually yet I was a bit disturbed by this serious mood.
"Don't." he added.
"What? I need a book." I retorted.
"I'll get you one when we'll meet up for skillpractice." He took a step back and ran his hand through his hair as a sigh was released from his lips. I knew he didn't do it out of consideration but I didn't want to question this favor.
"Okay." I complied. He let out a slight laugh.
"That was the easiest approval I've gotten from you." He smiled. His statement was true. I've always been one to question everything although not aloud.
"You should run along now. Your little friend might have fainted." A smirk was playing on his lips again. He didn't reply. He had just reminded me of what had happened and I became grumpy.
"And by the way. I would avoid Cain if I were you. It's getting exhausting to save you all the time." He advised me. What did he think I was trying to do? I had ben trying to avoid him as well and it is not like I was begging him to save me. Well, only once but still.
"Sure thing." I said and once and for all turned on my heel. I reached the castle and entered but as soon as I put my foot in I was lost. Before I had just been running around trying every path possible. I stood there for a few seconds until I noticed a few male students staring at me up and down and I thought I could hint some fangs. I quickly turned right and followed the corridor down. I was about to reach for my phone in my bag in order to see the time. I was not ready to be late for a class my first week. When I was rummaging through my bag I noticed another folded piece of paper besides my two schedules. I unfolded it and saw that it was the map Maggie had given to me previously. I had completely forgotten it. It was still pretty hard to understand since the castle was huge. I located where I was at the moment as well as where the library were. Leon couldn't have strayed far from the path leading from my point to the library. I continued down the hallway with my nose in the map and I couldn't take in my surrounding until I bumped into something.
"I'm glad you're trying to find your way around but perhaps you should look where you're going." I looked up and saw that the voice belonged to no other than Elenor.
"Oh, hi." I said and she returned the greeting.
"How are you getting around?" She asked as she leaned on her right leg placing her hands on her hips. Considering all I've gone through in just a couple of days I'm not sure about how I should answer to that question.
"Never a serene moment." I replied, plastering on a smile.
"I can imagine. A lot to take in I take it?" She received forced smile well and gave me one of her owns.
"Truly." I let out a sigh mixed with a laugh.
"And I take it Dwight is taking good care of you?" She asked. I couldn't answer her immediately. Was he taking good care of me? I can only remember him making me upset. Although he hasn't been completely ignoring my need of guidance, just a bit.
"I'm good." I then replied to which she smiled. Then she handed me a paper.
"This is a transfer form. I know it's a bit late but I wanted you to enroll as soon as possible so could have somewhere to live." She explained as I reached out for the form and took it with my free hand. It was unexpectedly thoughtful that she wanted me to have a home before anything.
"I hope it won't be much of a hassle to submit it. However, I've heard you have a slight problem with blood. Is that true?" She questioned, eyes squinting. Somehow, my "problem" with blood seemed utterly embarrassing at the moment.
"Just a slight problem, but nothing to worry about." I lied. Of course I lied. I was just hoping she wouldn't catch on. Hearing her reason for not bringing me the form earlier made me not wanting to disappoint her.
"I'm glad." She approved.
"I shouldn't keep you. It seems like you were heading somewhere." She smiled and passed me.
"Yes, thank you." I said after her. Now, I must find Leon. It seems like this day will continue on being a treasure hunt. If you know could call the previous hunt a treasure. Perhaps you can.
