"Then... why?" I asked carefully.
"Because it's my duty to do all the dirty work if anything bad happens. Which I would rather not do." He said simply.
"Dirty work...? Like clean up the blood when..." I begun, looking down at the brick floor, not being able to finish the sentence. He scoffed.
"Something like that, yes."
I looked up at him and saw him smirking. After a brief moment of eye contact he turned on his heel and he suddenly vanished, leaving me here. After a few seconds of staring into nothingness I begun to move down the hallway I believe we came from. Being dragged here I did not fully focus on my surroundings. I reached a junction and I was quite positive on me being lost. There were several students who I could ask but I quickly turned down my own idea since all I got from them were glares. Heading left seemed right at the moment but then I saw someone I recognized though I could not put my finger on who it was. Cain, oh, how stupid I was. Due to Maggie's worried and surprised expression earlier I knew he was bad business. I quickly hid behind the wall from his direction. I sneaked a peak and saw the big guy, he had broad shoulders and walked like he was superior to everyone else. I figured I should take a good look, remembering how he looked so I could avoid him at any cost any other time. He had brown hair, his sides were shaved so his hair were thicker in the middle. When he came closer I could see once again his narrow green eyes, almost sparkling as he spoke to his friend walking beside him. As he passed me a let out a breath which I didn't remember holding.
"I wouldn't do that If I were you." A voice behind me suddenly sounded. I jumped at the scare but quickly turned around. The voice belonged to the very rude, in my opinon, red haired girl from history class.
"Do what?" I said with more spunk in my voice than I wanted. My instincts told me not to go up against someone like her.
"Not anyone can have Cain." she said placing a hand on her hip staring down at me, yes down, she was much taller than me. Then again, she said, have Cain. Who would want to have Cain?
"I'm not sure we are thinking about the same thing here." I said pointing from her to me. She scoffed.
"Then why else would you be staring him up and down like he some sort of prize?" she said and folded her arms together.
"Excuse me? first of all I did not stare at him." I begun, which was a lie because I was staring at him. I'm a bit scared of myself. I'm not one to let out my thoughts in this manner. In any manner actually.
"second of all, he is not prize." I continued, mimicking her actions. Now it was her turn to look dumfounded.
"Excuse me ?" She said offended.
"He is one of the most wanted guys here, you know?" she said pointing in the direction he left.
"Well then why don't you go get him?" I taunted her, regretting my actions immediately. She composed herself and her expression turned arrogant again.
"I'm only looking out for him, he can have anyone he wants, but you. He has a reputation you know." she explained, once again with her arms folded. I did not have a large enough vocabulary to express my annoyance but I guess it's all too well. I bit my lower lip and huffed, not satisfied with my defeat.
"I thought so." The girl said and then she was out of my sight. I let out an angry sigh and grimaced. I stomped at the ground once trying to vent my frustration.
"Are you... okay?" I heard someone behind me say. I turned around still wearing my angry expression.
"Easy tiger." Leon said as he saw me. I let out another exhausted sigh and let my head hang.
"What happened?" He said leaning down to see my face. As I looked up he straightened and looked my confounded.
"Everything." I said eventually.
"We should head back to the others, we have math lesson. You can tell my on our way." He said as he stepped aside, making way for me.
"That made everything better, math." I said and rolled my eyes. I could hear Leon stifling a laugh.
"So, tell me." he said as we walked down the corridor.
"The recent event were this rude girl in history class." I begun, just getting upset thinking about her.
"Oh, the one with red hair? Arabella." Leon explained.
"Yes, Arabella, she came up to me and accused me of apparently staring at hot guy no. 1, Cain." I said grimacing.
"Did you meet Cain?" Leon said worried.
"Not really, I was hiding from him. That's when Arabella saw me." I explained. I got a headache just thinking about all the misunderstandings. We walked in silence for awhile so I could lose some steam.
"What about Dwight?" Leon finally said.
"Who?" I asked creasing my eyebrows as I looked up at him.
"Quinn!" I hear Maggie's light voice echo through all the noise. I looked up and saw Natasha and a waving Maggie. I smiled and unconsciously my pace sped up.
"What happened?" She said and laid her hands on my shoulders. Before I could answer Maggie spoke again.
"I saw Dwight drag you off somewhere, I tried to follow but you were already gone." She explained worringly.
"Who?" I asked confused.
"oh, him." I said when I realised who she meant, and took a deep breath.
"Did he do something?" Nath said carefully.
"He would never physically hurt her, he can't." Leon said looking at Nath who agreed with him by nodding.
"He did not hurt me he just called me an idiot." I said through gritted teeth.
I explained what this guy, Dwight, had told me and repeated what I'd said to Leon to Nath and Maggie as we were walking towards our classroom.
"That bitch!" Maggie said as we turned around our last corner spotting our classroom.
"What a jerk." Nath said directing it towards Dwight.
"In just one hour as well." Leon said giving out a slight laugh not believing it.
"Totally, I would rather never see him again." I said as I took the lead entering the classroom. Once I entered I hit something rock hard and I looked up and saw a very familiar smirk.
"Hello human." His dark voice whispered.
