With my nose once again in the map I made my way to the library. I gave the librarian a smile which she returned. I begun searching for Leon in the enormous library but all I found were either malicious stares or hungry eyes. I did not want to feel conceited so I imagined he would not be fazed by what he'd seen. However, a worry had begun to form within me. What if he got the wrong impression? I walked down the aisle created by the bookshelves. I spotted our spot only to find it occupied by a group of girls. I hinted the red hair of Arabella and quickly steered my way in the opposite direction. Suddenly a hand landed on my shoulder and fearing it was Arabella I jumped and quickly took a step forward, escaping the hand. I spun around and my eyes were met by no other than Leon.
"Are you okay?" He asked with raised eyebrows. Feeling my own stupidity I begun to awkwardly look around.
"Yeah, I wasn't expecting ..." I begun.
"Me?" He ended my sentence.
"I was hoping it was you but I don't really know who I can trust here." I let a laugh which only contributed to the awkward situation.
"I'm in that group of people you trust, right?" He smiled boyishly.
"Of course." I smiled back at him.
"Is Dwight in the same group?" asudden his voice turned low and solemn. I was taken by surprise and my mouth stood agape for a second.
"I guess he must be. Since, after all, he is my turning teacher." I was making excuses, I knew. Though only because I did not know the answer myself. Leon did not answer but slightly nodded. He let out a sigh before he changed the subject.
"I guess we should go get your math book." He had returned to his normal cheerful self. He turned on his heel before I could stop him. I started off after him.
"Well, Dwight said he'd get it for me." This put him to an halt. Seconds passed as well did the surroundings yet we stood still. Eventually Leon turned around and smiled at me.
"I guess that's for the best. Since we'd probably be late for english." Before I could take in anything else he had taken my hand in his and begun walking. I was ready to be dragged along once again. Before I could even think that all vampires were the same in that aspect I noticed Leon walking beside me. In bewilderment I looked up at Leon who faced the hallway we walked down. I swallowed unwillingly. I did not know what to think not what to do in this situation. However, feeling uncomfortable I tried to wriggle free. Leon noticed and let me go and smiled sweetly at me.
"Feeling sweaty." I lied looking down.
"No worries." He said as we continued our stroll towards the classroom. We rounded a corner and saw Maggies head pop out from a room. She noticed us and waved at us. Unconsciously my pace quickened. Then suddenly above Maggies head appeared another one. I recognized him as the blond one who'd helped Dwight off the field yesterday. Maggie looked up and noticed the boy. She turned around in glee and hung herself around his neck. I immediately got suspicious. Did Maggie have a boyfriend without telling me? The girl who usually didn't hold back her words. Leon and I reached the two who were laughing together. Maggie straightened her posture and turned to introduce the boy. He was tall and lean. His stance were confident yet self aware. Up close his hair had a more ashy blond vibe and his blue eyes were much clearer. His oval face shape made him seem slimmer as well as his modest shoulders made him seem slender. He his probably the same height as Dwight but Dwights rectangular face shape made him look more masculine. I tried to get my mind off Dwight as I was meeting a new person for the first time, hard yet necessary.
"This is Joshua, he is one of the turning-teachers." Maggie introduced him to which he held out his hand.
"Oh, you're Joshua." I declared as my hand landed in his.
"I saw you playing yesterday." I continued on, confirming I'd seen him.
"Yeah? What a game." He said and chuckled.
"Weren't you supposed to be Quinns turning-teacher at first?" Leon reflected and his brows furrowed.
"That's true. Though the headmaster thought it would be better if Dwight took this one as I only have one lesson with her." Joshua explained. I had begun to notice a pattern her. I was a "it". I was regarded as a thing more than a living being.
"Okay kids, class assembly!" the teacher announced to which student found their seat in the classroom. We found Nath already in her seat and luckily I was placed beside Maggie and Nath once again. The hour passed and fortunately I realized it wasn't all too different from my previous school. The teacher wrapped up the lesson and not soon after everyone was out of their seats. As I was packing my luggage Nath poked at me with a pen. I turned towards Nath only to find her pointing towards the exit which had been blocked by Dwight leaning against the door frame.
