Darknights Great Secret - a Vampire story

Chapter Five

As we walked towards the classroom I could feel how nervous I was becoming. I think I would be just as nervous if it was an "ordinary" school. And since it isn't an "ordinary" school I'm even more nervous. What if someone decides to eat me but after hearing what Natasha said before they might not dare to, or maybe that Cain will? My thoughts spiraled.
"Are you okay?" I heard Leon ask me and I turned towards my left where he was walking. Then Maggie and Natasha stopped talked and looked at me.
"Me? Yes, I'm fine." I said and looked confused. How could he see that I was worried? I thought.
"Okay." he said and nodded then he turned his gaze forward.
We walked just a few minutes until I saw students enter a room and I guessed that was where we were headed and I was right. Maggie smiled at me and grabbed my hand as we walked into the classroom. It was terrible. Everyone stopped talking and all their stares was almost the death of me. I wanted to fall through the ground if I could. They were eyeing me up and down as if I were the monster. I didn't say anything and neither did they. I looked at them but I tried to avoid their judgemental stares. They actually looked like any other human teenager. A few guys were sitting on the desks in the back and in the front were two girls talking but of course they stopped as I entered. In the middle to the left was a bunch of girls and their stares were the worsts. Students continued to enter the classroom and went past us and they too had those judging eyes.
"Hello everyone!" Maggie then said and gained some of students attention.
"This is our new classmate, Quinn Dale!" Maggie said and looked at me and once again everyone stared at me. It became quiet. No one said anything and I didn't know if that was good or bad. I stood frozen in my spot, swallowing.
"Greet them." Leon said and elbowed me lightly.
"Hello I am-" I started but I was interrupted.
"She is a human." one of the girls in the big bunch said with despise in her voice and it stung inside of me.
"She doesn't belong here." another of them said.
"Get lost!" I heard someone say and then the whole class started complaining.
"Hey!" Leon suddenly shouted and I could feel how my heart almost jumped out of my chest.
"Shut it. She is a student at this school just like everyone else in here." he shouted with a loud voice and it became silent and most of them looked down.
"I thought I heard someone shouting?" A voice said and everyone's attention was directed to the doorstep. Elenor! I thought surprised. For the first time I was glad to see her.
"What's the meaning of this, Mrs. Moreau? Why is there a human in our school?" I heard a female voice say.
"What does it matter to you?" Elenor asked calmly.
"I mean... She is human!" the female voice answered a bit taken back.
"So? She isn't the first human." Elenor answered simply.
The class became quiet. Not a single word and I could only hear my own breathing and I guessed that the others didn't breath, I mean, they don't need to. But then a slight laugh was heard and once again everyone turned against the big bunch of girls. One of the girls moved to the side and in the middle of the group was a girl sitting on a chair. A very beautiful girl by the way. She had long amber red hair and a small, pale face with small eyes. She was sitting with her legs crossed. She stood up and looked at Elenor.
"And we all know what happened to the others." she said and smirked. Her comment made me swallow but then I felt someone grab my hand and I looked at Maggie who smiled comforting at me.
"So are you saying that you will kill her?" Elenor asked, crossing her arms.
"No, not that I will kill her, maybe none of us will." the girl answered.
"But someone will?""Elenor said, lifting one of her eyebrows.
"Hm, no you're right. It's against the rules but I still think she will be dead within a month." the girl said and shrugged.
"No, she won't. I will make sure that." Elenor said an stared into the girls eyes after that it became quiet. Elenor let out a sight.
"Everyone get to your seats, Mr. Colter is right outside." Elenor said and soon after a short old man entered the room.
"Mrs. Moreau, you still have great detecting skills!" The man named Mr. Colter said and shook his head.
"Well thank you Mr. Colter." Elenor said and smiled gently at the short man.
"Then I will be off"."Elenor said and gave a slight nod to the man who nodded back. Elenor walked up to me and gave me a small paper bag and smiled then she left through the door which she entered from. I looked at the bag wondering what it was.
"Oh, chicken sandwich with mayonnaise." Maggie said and smiled. I looked at her in shock but then remembered what abilities she had.
"Well, do as Mrs. Moreau told you, go to your seats!" Mr. Colter said and turned to his desk.
"This way." Maggie said and pulled me to the back of the room.
"Here." she said as she place me between her and Leon and Nath sat down in front of Leon.
"Okay, assume that you all know that we have a new student in our class? It's Quinn Dale, welcome!" he said and looked at me and smiled. Once again I felt how everyone's eyes was on me.
"No, Miss Silver. It's Dale not Fail." Mr. Colter said and sighted while taking the attendance and I could hear how the class made out small
"Let's begin!" Mr. Colter said and looked up again. I kept twitching in my chair nervously but then I felt something touch me on my arm and I turned my head and saw a smiling Maggie.
"Don't worry we'll be here for you." she said and showed me her white teeth.
"Of course we will." I heard Leon say and I turned towards him and received another smile and I smiled back at them.
"Thanks." I whispered with gratitude.
We all began to focus on the class and it was apparently a history class but it wasn't history that I was used to. It focused more on vampires roles throughout the history. I was pretty shocked that Hitler was killed by a vampire instead of taking suicide.

I guess I might look forward to the classes here.
