Chapter 23
Jade pulled into the teacher’s parking lot at the back of the school, where no students would be around, only the occasional teacher.
Around the front of the school there had been a bunch of students walking through the doors and into the auditorium. As much as this entire thing scared the hell out of her, Jade felt something inside that made her smile. All the people were showing up to remember her, and express their love for her.
A teacher came out of the back door and she ducked immediately. Her entire plan would be ruined if someone saw her before she wanted to be seen.
She waited a minute before she looked up again, just to be safe.
The service would start in a matter of minutes, which seemed like an eternity to Jade, who stared at the clock the entire time.
