Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song, and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
So you can start,
To make it better

Ran had no idea where he was, how he got there, or what had happened when he woke up the next morning. All he knew, was that he was in a small enclosed space, with Bristol passed out on the floor and Greg leaning against his shoulder. He scrunched his face in repulse at the rather unfamiliar boy who was taking comfort in the blond's body heat. Truthfully, he was mostly disgusted with himself considering he had let someone else seek refuge in his arms (or in this case, his shoulder). Especially when that person wasn't Alex.

Wait, where even is Alex?

It took the blond a good 25 seconds before he had fully registered that his boyfriend was nowhere in sight. He was more alert now that he had processed this information, and he awkwardly shrugged Greg off his shoulder. He stood up, and took notice in the cold chilly air that was circulating the cabin. He grabbed a jacket knowing it was going to be colder outside.

Quietly, he strapped on his boots and tiptoed out of the cabin to begin his search for the young boy. It was decently early in the morning, making the air that much colder and the blond that much more exhausted. He knew for a fact that he had probably gotten high or drunk during the previous night; otherwise he wouldn't be feeling the way he was. He was tired, he felt like he could've been ill at any moment, and the freezing air of the early morning was not helping him whatsoever. Fortunately for him, he did not have to walk far, as he found the boy for whom he was looking for only 2 minutes into his search.

Said brunet was sitting on a park bench that was alongside the forest trail. He had wiped all the snow off, however despite the cold atmosphere he still sat on his jacket to protect him from feeling the wet wood. He was distracted as he was drawing in a sketchbook, and he had not noticed Ran's presence until he sat down beside him.

The young artist looked up, and smiled upon seeing who it was. Ran returned the expression before leaning in to peck the younger boy on the lips.

"Why are you up so early? And sitting on a park bench in the middle of a forested area all alone?" The blond asked, grinning as he was slightly amused at the situation.

Alex smiled shyly, and shrugged. He scooted closer to his boyfriend for warmth, and dropped his pencils into his lap with his sketchbook.

"I don't know." He pondered. "I wanted to take a walk, I guess."

Ran nodded in understanding, rubbing his two hands together to warm them up. After 10 seconds without any warmth being given to him, he gave up, and instead wrapped his arm around the younger boy. Alex smirked playfully, and giggled.

"Cold?" He asked, with a mocking tone of voice. Although he sounded playful (no matter how jeering it might've seemed), Alex held a look of nervousness in his face.

"Shut up." Ran demanded, just as playful yet not as anxious.

The brunet laughed again, but it sounded forced. The elder of the two could now tell that something was on the younger boy's mind, but he wasn't sure if he should ask. He supposed it could be a touchy subject, and was afraid of Alex snapping at him. The last few times he had tried to ask about a sore topic, the boy had gotten mad would leave. He had developed a reflex, almost, to be nervous whenever Alex seemed nervous.
