Callie's eyes slowly peaked open from the bright sun shining into their bedroom. They had forgotten to shut the blinds the night before and whenever they did that, the consequence was being unexpectedly woken up by whatever forecast was electrifying the city that day.

Callie noticed a small patch of curly brown hair sticking out from Brandon's side of the bed and instantly smiled. This day marks Brandon and Callie married for one year. One year of trouble, one year of drama...one year of love, one year of absolutely perfect bliss. And now they had awesome children sleeping in the next room. She rolled over and placed a kiss on the bit of his head that was sticking out, but Callie was taken back when she head a faint squeal from beneath the sheets. She pulled back the covers to reveal Colleen sound asleep, or until Callie kissed her head and woken her up. Callie's head shot up to the opening bathroom door.

"Brandon," she began, looking at him walking towards her. "There's a baby in my bed."

"Yeah."

"Why is she in here?"

"She woke up a few hours ago and I couldn't get her back down. I think she might be getting sick."

"What? So, you brought her in here? What if she rolled off the bed?!" Brandon pulled back the covers more to show her the solution to that problem.

"I put a pillow on the side so she didn't," he laughed before walking around to her side of the bed and jumping playfully onto her. They were instantly engulfed in a giggle fest that included little kisses.

"Wait," Callie pulled herself out of the laughing haze. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"We both didn't need to get up," he told between locking his lips onto hers. In an instant they were hit with full-blown passion, but that ended quickly when they felt Colleen swing her hands together and Em cry from the other room.

"Mhm, maybe later," she mumbled before sliding off the bed, which was hard to do considering Brandon was crushing her. Callie continued on her mission to get Em.

"Mommy's crazy," Brandon mumbled in Colleen in his baby voice. "Not later, now." His looked towards the door when he heard Callie giggle in the nursery.

"Stop talking to your daughter about s-e-x!"

Brandon and Callie were having lunch with Em and Colleen sitting in their high chairs on opposite sides of the table. They were eating some leftover pizza from the day before. Very romantic in the eyes of a one year milestone. They didn't have a set plan for what they were going to do, but they definitely weren't going out. Within the two hours of Callie and Brandon waking up, Coleen had taken a turn for the worst. She was congested and was coughing, plus she was running a low-grade fever. The only thing harder than caring for a sick baby, was trying not to get the other baby sick from germs. They practically sprayed a whole can of disinfectant just in the nursery.  They didn't have any medication for her to take, because under four months shouldn't have acetaminophen. Since they were just about at four months, Brandon ran to the store to grab anything and everything that would help her.

At about four p.m., Colleen's fever broke, which was a relief to Brandon and Callie. There wasn't much they could do for her, but they tried all the little things. They ran the shower, bath, and both sinks in the bathroom at the same time, putting the water on the hottest it could go to create a humidifier effect. When it was time for the girls' nap, Brandon and Callie moved the cribs so they were further apart. They even took the extra step of propping Colleen's crib mattress up to elevate her head, ensuring that she didn't get more stuffed up.

After they put Colleen and Em down for their nap, Callie needed to take a shower, and so did Brandon. They hadn't showered yet, but that was just the half of it. Callie's clothes and skin were dirty from holding Colleen, trying to soothe her with no success. Or at least until she was laid in her crib and fell right to sleep.

Callie and Brandon stepped into the shower, hoping it would kick up their senses. The girls made them a little more exhausted than usual. But that wasn't going to stop them, or so they thought. With all the steam, the soapy suds, and the two naked bodies, things started to get hot...fast. Just as they were about to do something they heard a screeching scream coming from the monitor they placed on the counter.

Colleen had spiked another fever after about four hours after the first dose of acetaminophen. This was inevitable. What wasn't inevitable was Callie and Brandon eating dinner at 9 o'clock at night. They ended up making some pasta. They also finished the night with Callie watching Brandon fiddle on his keyboard, at a low volume of course.

An hour after Brandon and Callie's food had settled, they found themselves laying in bed on their sides, with their heads propped up on their hands. His other hand was resting on her hip.

"I was thinking," he began in a hushed tone, slightly rubbing his hand up and down a small area of her hip. "We should get a guitar, so we can play together again." Callie gently nodded her head, liking the idea. "We should have brought the one I gave to you...actually I don't even know where it is."

"I think it's in my closet," she laughed lowly. "Well, now Mariana's closet. I'm sure it's being covered by a bunch of clothes that didn't meet her standards for a college wardrobe."

"We should have moms ship it to us."

"Does the post office or whatever even ship boxes that big?"

"We shipped my keyboard."

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Callie said, bringing the back of her fingers up to lightly graze Brandon's jaw, admiring him.

"Do you remember the first time we played together?" He asked and she hummed in response. How could she forget? "We were in my room and my phone buzzed."

"I don't think I remember that part." He was losing her in the story. She barely knew him them, they weren't stalking each others actions.

"Well, I was supposed to sneak out and go to Talya's because her parents were out of town." His truth resulted in a playful, quite slap on his arm by Callie. The thought of him with someone else just made her wanna throw up.

"You were going to leave the house, behind moms backs, to go have sex with someone you didn't even like that much?"

"Yeah! She was really on edge because she thought I was into you."

"Which you were," she mumbled in a snickered voice.

"Not at that point. Wait, who said I didn't like her?"

"Brandon? You have to change your pants..."

"What? Why?" He had no idea what she was getting at.

"Cause they're on fire." Her cheesy choke made the room erupt with silent giggles.

All of my story ideas and brainstorming points are on a document on that laptop so right now I'm running on iffy ideas, so sorry! But good news, I'll be getting it back sometime this week! I'm definitely getting anxious from the separation! LOL! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Thank you for reading! XOXO
