"Why do we have to go all the way there again?" Callie whined will being forced to pack by Brandon for their short trip to San Diego. She was currently trying to sneak rolled up lingerie into the suitcase, with no luck because of Brandon peeping over her shoulder, trying to put his socks in with the bunch.

"What's this?" His eyebrow rose as he investigated the black lace, but was shot down by her hand smacking his.

"You never know," she smirked to her own sly comment, stuffing it back to its place.

"Well," Brandon laughed softly and began answering her first question. "There's more of them than there is of us. It's just easier for us to go, rather than having everyone come here."

"You think?" She sarcastically spoke, scowling her eyes slightly. "How is it easier for us to drag two 11-month year olds on a plane-"

"Almost one-year-olds," Brandon corrected her, since tomorrow is Em and Colleen's first birthday, while grabbing the last item of his to stack in the luggage.

"Almost one-years-olds on a plane," she continued. "To have a birthday party they will never remember. I get that first birthday's are usually for the adults or parents or whatever, but I just hope they're good on the plane."

"If we didn't go, moms would kill us, and Mariana would literally kill us. I'm not that excited either, but hey," he gently guided his hands around his waist as he did the same, taking each other into their arms to commemorate this otherwise joyous occasion. "Our daughters are going to be one tomorrow." They both smiled lightly.

"Speaking of," she began, looking around the room. "Where are they?"

"They're around here somewhere," he casually spoke, not worried one bit about the location of Em and Colleen. Callie stepped out of the embrace and walked around the room, but stopped shortly after the girls came crawling into the room from the master bathroom. Callie and Brandon had no idea they were even in there, they were being so quiet which was nothing close to normal. They started laughing when Em and Colleen started too.

"Do you think they'll sleep okay there?" She wondered, trying to fit a few last travel toiletries into the suitcase.

"They've done it before, besides they like that crib now."

"I know, but-" her words came to an abrupt stop once she heard something very faint coming from the behind them, which just so happens to be where the girls were playing. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Brandon wondered, then suddenly they both heard the same thing.

"That," she whipped around and stared hard at the girls, partially thinking they just made the noise.

"Ma...ma," a tiny, soft voice said, originating from Colleen. Callie instantly smiled and squatted down, clapping her hands softly.

"Oh my god, she just said mama," she told the obvious.

"I heard," he intoned, squatting down to their level. "Which is weird because I thought I was training you both to say dad first," Brandon joked, somewhat.

"Brandon, are you really gonna be bitter about this?"

"No," he laughed, but lied a little. He knew this would be something they would always joke about.

"Say it again," Callie encouraged. "Mama...mama...mama..."

"Mama," Colleen's tiny voice spoke again and this time Brandon and Callie were even more excited. Callie scooped her up in her arms and bounced her around the room, enjoying the moment but then being blindsided by the time.
