"Brandon!" Callie shouted from the living room with Em and Colleen attached to her side. She had the artificial, four foot Christmas tree box in front of her.

"Yeah?" He asked, walking into the room at a fast pace.

"Do we really have to put the tree up now? Christmas is three weeks away," she sassed, thinking it was a ridiculous notion to have a little spirit.

"Exactly, but that's what we do in San Diego, but it has to be down before New Year's."

"Why?" Callie wondered, watching him pull the box closer to him as they felt the coldness of the glass windows radiate towards them.

"I thought we could start a tradition. We probably won't be able to go to Times Square while we have two infants," he smiled at Em and Colleen as he playfully tapped their chunky legs. "But we can see the ball from the window. The tree blocks the window-"

"I can do it," she offered, interrupting him as he pulled the tree from the box and placed them on the floor. He abruptly stood up and grabbed Em and Colleen from her so she could assemble the tree herself.

"You sure you can handle it?" He asked playfully.

"Can you?" She returned the tone. "It's shorter than me, Brandon. I think I can handle it." She squatted down, looking at the three parts scattered around, it instantly coming together in her mind how the pieces fit.

As she put the tree together, she couldn't help but glance at Brandon, who was just standing over her, watching her every move. He could notice she kept smiling and staring at him.

"What?" I sheepishly pondered, slightly scrunching his eyebrows.

"Nothing..." She dismissed, biting her lips as the final piece of the tree clicked together, standing up and shuffling her hands after successfully assembling the fake green plant. "You just look cute with our daughters on your hips," she laughed lowly, stealthily walking the few feet towards him and pecking his lips.

"I love you," he shook his head, thinking how he ever got so lucky. He reconnected their lips, slipping their tongues between each others for a second before Brandon desperately wanted to touch her body, but couldn't because Em and Colleen were currently taking occupancy.

"Careful," Callie teased, leaning her body back slowly. "Two-thirds of my life are in your arms."

"What's the other third?" He asked rhetorically as she strolled to take a seat on a bar stool.

"My camera," she played. "What'd you think it'd be?" Callie grinned, adding to the teasing element she brought to the table. Brandon just scowled playfully back, knowing the answer was him. "But seriously, put the seven dollar lights on the 50 dollar tree."

"It was 50 dollars?" Brandon let Em and Colleen down to play as they became a little fussy from being held.

"I don't remember. Something cheap like that. But we're not doing a 'materialistic' Christmas, right?" They both softly laughed at her recollection of Stef saying that about a previous Christmas as she got to the floor to greet the approaching crawling baby, Colleen.

"Right, wait- so we can't get each other gifts?" He perked up after the realization he had already been preparing something handcrafted.

"I guess we can, just don't buy anything. Like we did last year?" Callie asked and he nodded. "At least this year we have a little time," she laughed. "I can't believe we forgot last time."

Brandon continued stringing the lights in the artificial green branches as the room filled with the sound of Em and Colleen's giggles. There was something about the sound of a child's laughter, so innocent and contagious to Brandon and Callie. They both had intense smiles on their faces as Brandon joined her on the ground, gently tickling the girls to create the immense laughing.

Callie was thinking about a gift to give to Brandon. Nothing expensive or store bought of course, but she had trouble being creative. She had her moments, like the title for her website that currently has about 130 users. The only thing she could think of was something musical, but she already gave him a metronome that he still used to the day. She did give herself a little credit from her gift last year.

Brandon already had it planned out. He was going to take her to the exact spot they got married in at Central Park and then go on a horse-drawn carriage ride around it. Surprisingly, it wasn't that expensive for a shorter duration, but there was always some uncertainty. The company had strict regulations that included no rides are to be done in temperatures below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, for the horses of course.

"Callie, look," Brandon whispered after Em and Colleen had fallen asleep in their arms while relaxing on the couch. He got her attention and jolted is head lightly towards the window that looked over the city being covered in white fluff. "It's snowing."

"Yeah," she said back, gently standing up and walking to the window, still having Em warmly cuddled on her chest. "It's so beautiful..."

"Not as beautiful as you are," he spoke in a hush tone as he came up behind her. Callie looked over her shoulder, smiling softly at the compliment, but noticed he was looking at Colleen while he was speaking. She playfully scoffed but realized he was just joking around after he had a devilish grin on his face. "You are beautiful too, Cal."

"Mh mhm."
