The clouds rolling in the sky were black at this point. Even though the clouds were blocking the light rays that are usually present in the sky, it was warm. Not nasty humid, pre-rain warm, but it was as if there was only a bright sun beaming in the sky. But that wouldn't last for long. The officiant didn't start until 15 minutes after Callie and Brandon got there. He kept organizing his speech and preparing to speak, while consulting with his coworkers, or the witnesses. And looking back giving judgmental stares and whispering. Finally, just has the scent of pre-rain was present in the air, the officiant walked back to his original placement in front of Callie and Brandon.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the relationship between-" He began to speak but was quickly cut off my Brandon.

"Can you skip forward a little bit?" Brandon asked in the most polite way possible. The officiant scowled at them then continued to speak, skipping some lines.

"Who gives Callie away in marriage to this man?"

Callie and Brandon both stared at each other looking like  deer in headlights. "Uh, I guess I do," Callie nervously spoke. "Can I do that?"

"I'll allow it." he muttered then continued once more. "Marriage gives permanence-"

"You can skip that part too," Brandon interrupted again as he felt a single water droplet fall on his hand from the sky.

"Callie and Brandon, the vows you will read will speak of true love and importance-"

"Oh, crap," Brandon and Callie spoke simultaneously, interrupted him again.

"We forgot vows, how the hell did we forget vows?" Callie heard the officiant scoff and gasp at her words. She realized that she just said 'hell' in front of a minister. "Sorry."

"I don't know, we could just think of them off the top of our heads," Brandon propositioned and Callie just nodded her head and looked at the officiant.

"Ladies first," he proceeded.

"Brandon, I love you. I am in love with you, now, tomorrow, and forever. I can't wait to be with you forever. Before you, I felt lost, unloved, unworthy, and now I am as happy as I will ever be. You did that, Brandon. You saved me. I have never felt like this before, and I am so grateful to feel like this with you. I want to thank you for believing in me, when I didn't believe in myself." Callie spoke slowly and with meaning. She could've gone on and on, and probably more poetic if she had time to think of something. She applauded herself about reciting something she said before they had their first kiss at Lena's and Stef's wedding.

"Callie, I didn't ever think this type of love existed. I promise to you that I will love and cherish you until the end of time. I will spend an eternity trying to make you happy because you deserve to be happy. You're amazing, and kind, and smart...and beautiful..." Callie blushed at Brandon's words just as she did before their first kiss. "And you deserve to have everything you want. And I'm really thankful that what you want is me." He nervously laughed, trying to recover from the cheesy line. Both of their eyes began to pool.

"Callie and Brandon will now exchange rings to symbolize their commitment..." The officiants words faded away as they grabbed their rings and took them out of the box. "...the wearing of the rings is a visible, outward sign that they have committed themselves to one another." Brandon and Callie couldn't help but smile. It was true, this makeshift wedding was like their coming out party to the world; showing everyone their love like they could never do before. "Will you please take each others hands and repeat after me. "I give you this ring..." Brandon and Callie followed the instructions and simultaneously repeated his words. "...for today and tomorrow, and for all days to come...wear it as a sign of what we have promised on this day...and know that my love is present...even when I am not.
