"Callie," Dr. Avery spoke in the exam room of her check up, taking pictures of the image created on the sonogram machine. It was a Friday afternoon and they had just finished their second week back from school since the holiday break. "You are now a little more than half way, since we aren't expecting the gestation of this pregnancy to be 40 weeks." She was officially 21 weeks.

"That's great," Brandon smiled before placing a kiss on top of her head.

The doctor began telling them the usual 'what to expect' for the next two weeks until her next appointment. Things like the size of the babies, what's developing on the babies that week, new or worsening symptoms that will happen, or symptoms that will begin to subside, etc. Just has Dr. Avery started talking about the babies kicking hard enough for her stomach to move, the babies did just that.

"Woah, woah," Callie rose her voice as she sat on the exam table, gently pressing on her stomach. "Brandon...come feel this." He stood up, a little worried at first. As soon as he was in reach, she grabbed his hand, pulling him closer even faster, and placed it on the area that was moving.

"Wow. I-I can feel that," he giggled.

Dr. Avery smiled. "The miracle of life is a beautiful thing. Especially for the two of you...an absolute miracle." He exited the room as he was done speaking.

Callie and Brandon definitely over stayed their welcome on that exam table. They were huddled in that room for over an hour because after one of the girls starting moving hard, the other one wanted to join the party.

Saturday morning, Callie was sleeping in bed, lying peacefully on her back. She was abruptly awoken when she realized someone was touching her. She opened her eyes to see Brandon's head and hands pressing and pushing on and against her growing bump.

"B," she laughed softly with tired eyes. "What are you doing?"

"The girls have been kicking all night long. You are the one that gets to experience it, so I'm trying to feel it as much as possible. How did you even get any sleep?"

"I didn't," Callie sighed as she sat up slightly and Brandon readjusted accordingly. "Well not good sleep at least. Wait...have you been up all night?"

"Like I said, our babies have been moving your entire stomach. I wonder why they move so much when you sleep and are still when you're up, you'd think it would be the other way around."

"Actually, when I'm moving, it's like a swaying motion, so it puts them to sleep...I think."

"Okay, Dr. Foster," he mocked.

"It's in the book you're reading, you just haven't gotten to that part yet. You still wanna go to baby stores today?"

"We have to. I've already got everything cleared and cleaned, now we have a list of everything we're gonna get and we are going to get it today." Callie could feel the vibrations of his voice through her belly.

"Damn...okay, B. We-" Suddenly she stops speaking and jumps up from the bed, sprinting.

"What's wrong? Are you gonna be sick?" He shouts, looking over his shoulder.

"No," her hollering voice echoed through the bathroom. "Your hands pushing on me, plus four tiny hands and feet do not work well with my bladder."

"Oh," he chuckled softly as he rolled over on the bed to lay face down again, not seeing Callie walk back into the room.

"Are you laughing at me?" She sassed.

"No," he lied, poorly.

"C'mon," Callie smacked Brandon's leg that was dangling off the side of the bed with her foot. "Get up and get ready so we can go."
