"ANSWER ME."

He didn't move or speak, he was frozen, holding me close but not all the way to his chest. His body was hot and once again he had no shirt on. Tears began to stream down my face. This seemed to catch his attention and he pulled me all the way to his scorching chest.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and let the sobbing begin. "What am I? What's wrong with me?" I pulled myself closer to him, "I'm a monster, I nearly killed that innocent old man in the shop, but how?" My mind raced. I had wanted that man's blood – I had needed it. Tears ran down my face and glided down his bare chest. I wiped the tears from his upper body and stepped back, it was hard for him to let me go, I could tell.

"Go! I'm dangerous, I could hurt you."

He didn't leave, just stood before me holding my wrists. Dropping my hands, he placed his on either side of my face, wiping away the tears with his thumbs. This gesture was unfamiliar to me and I couldn't help but calm down with his touch.

"Stop." His voice was calm as if he hadn't just witnessed my

speed and strength or my almost murder. "You are perfect, nothing is wrong with you. You are not a monster and I will never, ever leave you."

The tears stopped and I couldn't believe the words that had escaped his lips.

He continued, "And you could not hurt me."

I started to walk away, pulling my face out from his grasp on me.

"Renesmee Carlie, this is not your fault. You stop it right now."

Who did he think he was talking to, I was Alydia Lee. Calming myself, I spoke again but the name he called me had infuriated me, "I am not this Renesmee girl, my name is Lydia." I emphasized the words, making myself very clear at what I was telling him.

I saw pain in his face and he took a deep breath.

"What?" My voice was sharp and unnecessary, "Why are you here in Italy? How did you even get here?" I couldn't calm myself; I needed to stop the burning in my throat and get answers to my questions.

"I need to show you something and then we will go hunting."

I didn't want to go hunting. I wanted food and I especially did not want to see anything he had to show me at that moment. He began to take his pants off, his hands and arms trembling. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This man was crazy.

"I don't want to see that!" My words were thick with disapproval.

Jacob stood in front of me with only his boxers on. He laughed at my reaction as he tied his black pants around his ankle with a little brown string. "That's not what I'm doing. Go stand by that tree." He pointed to a tall tree about twenty feet away, his chest was trembling by then and his fists were locked tight. I wanted to run and go back to the old man in the shop but I held my ground. Jacob smirked playfully, "Now who's the monster?" As he spoke his last word, his entire body trembled and he exploded into the same wolf from the forest back home. I couldn't move, my heart stopped but I wasn't afraid or repulsed by the creature before me. I was in love.

What was he? What did this mean? This man had just transformed into a beautiful monster. He stood tall and his thick muscles moved as he shifted his weight. Confusion blurred the control I had over my thoughts. I felt so lost and wanted to know what was happening. All I knew was wrong, my life was built up by facts and statistics that were proven inaccurate. Did this mean all magic was real, that mystical creatures lived? Skepticism filled my thoughts but no matter my doubts it all felt right. As if I had seen this so many times before. My eyes grew larger as Jacob came closer to me. Shining his teeth in my direction, I melted at the sight of his massive smile.
