Stretching in gym class, Eli sat beside me looking as if she were about to jump out of her skin, "So...What happened last night?"

I frowned, not wanting to go into details while we were surrounded by humans, "Well...I kinda staid at his place last night."

Eli squealed with excitement, "You staid over at his place again?" Her smile widened, "You have to tell me everything."

I blushed, "Nothing happened. We just talked and figured stuff out. I snuck out this morning while he was still sleeping like a baby. I couldn't wake him."

"Come on. Something happened? We all saw that kiss at Brady's place last night."

My blush deepened, "Yeah okay we may have kissed a little but I also made it sorta clear that we are only friends for now."

"Why?"

"Honestly? I have no idea...I just want to be a hundred present sure and not rush into anything after everything that happened. I want Jake and I to work out."

"You guys will. You're meant for each other. The whole imprint thing, remember?"

I smiled but took the chance to change the subject, "Speaking of...How are you and Brady doing?"

Her smile dimmed, something I've never seen after mentioning his name, "We had our first fight last night...It was stupid and childish, I don't know what came over me."

"Was it because of what I said?"

"Maybe..."

"Eli...I'm so sorry. Don't be mad at him he is just trying to ease you into...our world."

She frowned, "My boyfriend's a werewolf and my best friend is half vampire. I'm strong enough to take anything. I've proven myself to him so many times."

"I don't know if I should tell you this but last night Jake told me that he's been stressing out about telling you. He wants to...he just doesn't know how. His intensions are pure."

She sighed, "I know, it just feels like he can't or doesn't trust me."

"That's silly. He is just being cautious for your sake, like what I'm doing with Jacob. He wants everything to be perfect with you two."

"Okay...So I should probably call him?"

I smiled, "Yeah, call him at lunch...Do you wanna go off campus? I have my car."

"Yes please."

Gym flew bye. It was dodge ball day and I forgot to dim my strength down but luckly I didn't hurt anyone too bad. After class, I went to English but couldn't focus on anything except Jacob. I hadn't heard from him at all and I was worried he was upset with me for just leaving him that morning. While the teacher lectured, I doodled on my paper and waited for lunch time so that I could talk to Eli and get some food.

As soon as the bell rang, I rushed to Eli's locker. She was there shoving her books into their places, "Eli you ready?"

She smiled as we walked down the hallway towards the car, "Yep. How you feeling?"

I licked my lips, "I'm so thirsty. Can you spare something for me to drink?" I winked and giggled.

She stuck out her tongue, "That's so weird. If you touch me Brady would kill you."

I giggled and playfully ruffled her hair, "He may want to kill me but he couldn't touch me."

She scowled, "He could and you know it."
