"NAHUEL! LET HIM GO SO YOU CAN TAKE ME BACK

to the hotel room."

Nahuel froze and looked back at me skeptically. Taking in a shaky breath, he turned and scooped me up into a hug after he withdrawing from Jacob, "I knew you wanted me and not that dog." He was harsh and I wanted to scream and run away from him, except I knew that if I did he would go after Jacob; my Jacob.

I returned his hug and glanced over his shoulder to take a look at the man I had let slip away from me. Jacob had reached the forest's edge and was looking back at me. I resisted the urge to run to his side and quickly clenched my eyes shut at the sight.

"Come on Lydia, I'll take you somewhere safe and far away from him." The name he had given me was startling to hear after all I had learned. My life had been forgotten about, or what I had thought was my life until resent events. Nahuel must not have thought Jacob hadn't told me anything.

"Okay, let's go." I molded my face into a joyful smile and my voice mimicked the tone. We walked down the road for a mile or so before another word was spoken, "Why did you jump in

front of the car and how did you get away without a scratch?" I could see the fear build up in his face as the words slipped from my lips and into his ears, taunting all he had worked hard to keep from me.

"I didn't want that Jacob guy to hurt you, so I did all I could to get him to stop so I could get you away from him. I jumped out of the way at the last second, after I knew he was going to stop."

I nodded my head and accepted his lie for the truth. We walked together in silence for the remainder of our time together. The dark road seemed to go on forever – it was the black hole that framed my destiny.

I took in a deep breath and the scents of Edward and Emmet found me. Nahuel tensed beside me and before I could ask him what the problem was, I was on his back and he was running at a full sprint. I pulled myself free and jumped from his back, "Wait...what?" I pretended to be shocked by his amazing powers but all I truly wanted to do was slow him down to let Edward and Emmet catch up.

"Now is not the time, get on my back." I slowly walked over to him and he pulled me back up on his back but we didn't get far.

"And you thought you could get away from us." Standing before Nahuel and myself was Edward and Emmet. Emmet took Nahuel out at the knees and Edward scooped me up before I could hit the ground. Emmet and Nahuel fought on the ground but Emmet quickly knocked Nahuel out cold and pulled him, by one foot through the forest in our direction.

I let out a laugh but inside I almost wanted to cry. The feelings of my lives were mixing together and I didn't know which one to trust. A desire to make sure Nahuel was okay pulled at my heart but I kept my distance. Instead, I ran beside Edward and Emmet to their car. Emmet threw Nahuel in the back and I climbed in beside him. Edward was driving and he drove just like me, full speed and no worries. We arrived at the city within minutes and parked in a dark alley.

Emmet jumped out and pulled me with him. He whispered in my ear so softy, I had trouble hearing it. "Play along."

Edward then dragged Nahuel out and tossed him on the ground, kicking him as hard as he could. I flinched at his cruel

gesture.

We were tossed into a deep hole at the end of the alley. Emmet and Edward followed and threw us down the dark hallway like rag dolls. I could soon see a light at the end. As we entered a large room, Edward let out an infuriated hiss and the people that were scattered about in the large room left as quickly as they could. There were three grand chairs in front of us and I noticed that the building was made of an old stone.
