Chapter 13: Out the window (literally)

Jax pov
I awoke and forgot where I was. That was until I saw Brendon with his head resting on mine. I forgot we watched a movie. I must have fell asleep. I was just about to get up when I heard Brendon start to wake up too.

"Hey Jaxy." He said stretching.

"Hey Beebs." I said. "Sorry I fell asleep."

"Oh it's completely fine." He said.

"Thank you. I should probably go check on Link to see if shes ok after the whole Patrick thing." I said.

"Ok sounds good. I'll walk you down." He said. I smiled and we went out the door. We walked just down the hall to where Link's room was. When we got there I knocked on the door, thinking she would answer. Yet, she didnt. I knocked again.

"Go away." She said.

"Link, it's Jax." I said.

"Leave me alone." She said. Her voice sounded like she had been crying.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Jax, leave." She said. I decided to let her be and just leave.

"I really need to talk to her." I said to Brendon.

"Well, if she wont let us in, then I know exactly how to get in." He said. "Remember in tenth grade when we used to get to Tylers apartment from Josh's by using the balcony?" He said.

"Uh yeah? Why?" I said.

"Let's do the same thing to get to Link's room." He suggested. "Your powers make it easy."

"Aren't we invading her privacy?" I said.

"Kind of, but you really should talk to her, you know, girl to girl." He said smiling. I laughed.

"We can use Andy and Joe's balcony next door and you can zip over there. Like lighting." He said, doing some motion with his hands. I laughed at his joke.

"It's worth a shot. I'll go talk to her." I said.

"Ok let's go!" He said. We walked into Joe and Andy's room to find that Joe had gone out. Andy was a bit confused on why we were there, but Brendon explained it all.

"You are going to use the balcony?" He asked.

"Yeah. It's the only way Jax can get into Link's room." Brendon said for me.

"Are you sure you can do it?" He asked me. I havent talked to him since the big incident, which was actually 6 months ago. I was really mad about what he did and I still am. I forgave him but it doesnt mean I'm going to forget he threw a lamp at my head and sent me to the hospital. He knew I was still a bit mad at him so we didnt interact much. Brendon was really sweet for talking for me because he understood I'm still mad. I decided to finally say something.

"Yeah I'm fine." I said. He smiled at the fact that I said something. "I better go before Link leaves. Bye Brendon." I said waving at him indirectly so Andy didnt get suspicious. He smiled and waved back. I slightly smiled at Andy who smiled back. With that, I was off to the balcony.

Brendon's pov
I waved bye to Jax and watched her leave out the window. I turned around and almost forgot Andy was here.

"So Brendon, haven't talked to you in a while." He said. Since he freaking cheated on and THREW A LAMP AT Jax, he wasnt my favorite person at the moment.

"Yeah. Not since you cheated." I said.

"C'mon man. It was one time." He said.

"One time? Well that's one time to many to me." I said.

"Look I'm sorry. I feel terrible about what I did." Andy said.

"You should! How could you do that to someone like Jax?" I said.

"Brendon, I'm sorry."

"Dont say sorry to me! Say it to Jax! You almost killed her!" I screamed.

"C'mon it wasn't that big of a deal." He said. That made me so mad but I held in my anger.

"Andy- you disgust me Andy. I cannot believe you dont even care." I said.

"I do care. I care very much." He said calmly.

"Andy, she almost died. She means alot to me and you dont even own up to what you did!" I said.

"She means alot to me too. More that you think." He said.

"What are you even saying?! " I said flustered.

"Brendon it's nothing." He said.

"Andy, I'm sorry for getting mad. Its just Jax-"

"I get it." He said cutting me off.

"What did you mean?" I asked. "Just tell me." He looked at me with something in his eyes. I didnt expect what he would say next.

"I still love her."
