Chapter 5:Still flashback

Jax's pov
Link and I were directed into a smaller sized arena for the rest of our training. Elton personally came to get us, so I'm sure we were needed for something important.

"So, why is it just us here?" Link asked .

"Well, I've been watching you both during training, and you guys are different than the others. Haven't you noticed how there are multiple people with the same element, yet you both have the only special ones." Elton said. He was making sense. Josh and Pete both had fire. Brendon and Tyler were water. Andy and Spencer, freeze. And Dallon and Joe earth. But Patrick?

"What about Patrick? He only has camouflage?" I said.

"Haha I knew you guys would bring that up. It is true, Patrick is the only camouflage, but there is a reason he's not here. And that's why you are! Follow me!" He said vibrantly. We followed him to a certain station in the arena. It was a pile of wood and a bunch of hay dummies.

"Ok so I want you both to channel your fire power and burn the wood. And then channel your water power to put it out." He said. It was true. When Brendon and I were training together I had to build a fire with a fire element and when I tried it worked. Same with all then other elements, even though storm is the easiest to use. Link and I did as we were told and put out the fire. Elton had us do other various tests with the elements, and we aced all of them.

"Ok, so you guys are special!" He said in an odd voice.

"How are we 'special'?" Link said. He facepalmed.

"Because you both can channel all of the elements! Isn't that neat!" He said.

"I guess. So we just have them all?" Link asked. Elton just looked at us. He then lead us to two different tables. One had lighting rods on it and the other had nothing but a stopwatch. He looked at us seriously and sat link at the stopwatch one and me at the lighting rod one.

"Ok, so Jax, pick up the lightning rod." He said. I looked at him hesitantly, but I picked it up.

"Ok. So now just-"

Elton was cut off by the sudden burst of lighting shooting off the rod. I tried to stop it but it was really hard to stop. I finally stopped it and I dropped it, feeling very fatigued. I was sweating alot and I almost passed out. I stumbled over but Link grabbed my arm before I fell on the ground.

"You alright Jax?" Link asked.

"Yeah I'm ok. That took alot out of me though." I said, breathing heavily.
Elton offered me a bottle of water which I accepted. I calmed down and Elton went on with this "session".

"Alright, now that Jax is alright, let us continue!" Elton said enthusiastically.
"Link, pick up the watch." He said. Link picked it up and examined it.

"Now, drop it." Elton said. Link looked at him in question but did as she was told.

"Now, all you have to do is focus and reverse time!" He screamed. Link stared at the watch and I started to feel fatigued again. I held my eyes closed again and I felt very light. I opened my eyes and I saw everything again.

"Link, pick up the watch." He said, which was what he said earlier. Link picked up the watch again, even though she knew what was going on.

"Now drop- hey, it worked!" Elton screamed. "Wonderful! You guys did great! Now, all you guys need to practice is controlling your powers! Neato!" He yelled right in our ears. I winced from the loud noise. Suddenly, the doors opened and Julie walked in.

"Sir, the masseuse has arrived for your massage." Julie said.

"Alright alright. Well guys, Im sure this wont be the last time we will be speaking. We will be in touch! For now, goodbye younglings." He said, while turning and walking through the doors.

I snapped back to reality and looked at my bag I was packing to head up north. While I was thinking back, I hadnt noticed that Link left our room. The door was left ajar so I peeked out. Nobody. I saw a empty pizza boz fly out of the kitchen, so I knew at least Pete was here. I walked in and everyone was there except oddly Patrick. Brendon immediately gave me a hug when I walked in. Beside Link, I was closest to him so it wasnt surprising. We hugged often.

"Where's Patrick?" I asked.

"Actually, we're not sure." Joe said.

"Well he needs to hurry. We can't keep Elton waiting." Andy said. I just rolled my eyes at him. He was...Eltons "teachers pet." I still can't look at him for what he did. Out of everyone here, only me and Andy dont get along anymore.

"Hey Jax, I went to the store across the street and I left my phone in there. Can you go grab it for me?" Link said. I nodded and ran out the door. I opened the car and grabbed her phone. I started to walk back into the house when I saw Patrick's hat from behind the corner. I walked over to where he was and I noticed he was on the phone. I started to eavesdrop, but then I started to feel bad about it. Suddenly I heard the door open. I turned around and saw Spencer walk out.

"Phew. You're ok." He said.

"Yeah? Is everything ok?" I asked.

"Yeah we were all a little worried because we couldn't see you at the car." He said.

"Im ok. Patrick is on the phone and he sounds a little upset." I told him.

"Really? Let me hear." He said, peeking behind the corner. I could faintly listen to his conversation.

"Elisa please, its just going to be a few days at work.....I know we dont see each other too much anymore but, I promise when I get back I will change ok? I love you." He said on the phone. Spencer turned to me shocked. My jaw was on the ground too. Didnt he like Link? Patrick started walking towards us so Spencer and I darted as fast as we could to the house. We ran in and everyone looked at us like we were crazy.

"What happened?" Pete asked alarmed.

"Ok so we eavesdropped on Patrick's phone call...." Spencer said.

"Patrick's phone call?" Tyler asked.

"Do any of you know an Elisa?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah shes a friend of Patrick's." Pete said.

"Are they dating?" I asked.

"Not that I know of." Pete said. "Why?"

"They were saying they love each other?" Spencer said. Everyone looked shocked and a little bit hurt that he would keep this from us. Patrick then walked in and Pete asked to talk to him privately. I walked over to Link and started talking to her.

"You ok?" I asked her.

"Yeah Im fine why?" She said confused.

"Well, I mean you and Patrick have been kind of close lately." I said.

"Yeah but we are just friends, I hope." She said laughing lightly. I laughed lightly too and went to grab my phone. I got my phone and there were 4 missed calls from Elton. I had completely forgot about him calling us for a bit. I got this feeling of stress wash over me. I heard a knock on my door, which was open. Brendon poked his head in and waved at me smiling. I smiled and waved back and he walked in.

"Heyy baby bear." He said.

"Heyy Beebo." I said. We both laughed.

"Are you ready for whatever Elton needs? I know its alot of stress, for everyone." He said sitting down.

"Yeah I guess. I get used to it sometimes but when it comes so suddenly its harder to." I said. He nodded.

"Yeah I get it. It puta a kink in band plans." He said chuckling. Panic! just relesed Too weird to live, too rare to die!, Tøp just relesed Vessel, and Fall Out Boy Save rock and roll. Link teases me all the time saying Brendon wrote Miss Jackson about me, since my real name is Jackson, which I do not speak about. I dont think he did though.
I chuckled back at him. I grabbed my bag, which Brendon grabbed out of my hands to carry for me. We were almost out of the house when the power went out. Every single light in the house. I looked out the window and I saw all the other houses power go off.
