33. Is it just me or..

We got back to the house and itvwas just Link. Patrick didnt seem to be here, so I asked Link.

"Was Patrick here earlier? He didnt show up to the mini golf place." I asked Link.

"Well, um, He, um..he-he came back and went to-to the store." She said oddly.

"Uh, ok? Are you alright Link?" I asked.

"Uh yeah Im fine, just tired." She said. I nodded suspiciously. Something was up. I decided to see how she acted the rest of the night before asking her. I walked back to the guys, who were talking about the golf game. Pete seemed to bragging about it. I sat down with them while Link sat on the couch, farthest from Josh.

"Link, come sit over here." Josh said, patting the spot next to him.

"Uh..okay." She said holding out the word. She awkwardly sat next to him and he put his arm around her. She went stiff and didnt move. Weird. The guys talked about music while I texted Link.

J: whts wrong

She looked at her phone and then looked at me. She looked back at her phone and started texting.

L: im fine really

I just sighed knowing she probably wouldn't tell me.

"Im going to grab a drink, I'll be right back." Brendon told me. I followed him to the kitchen.

"Hey bean, what's up?" He said.

"Have you noticed anything about Link? Like weird?" I asked.

"Uh, no not recently. I haven't been paying attention." He said. "Is something wrong?"

"I dont know yet, she's acting weird." I said.

"I'll keep an eye out." He said giving me a kiss. We walked back out to where everyone was. Well, everyone except Link.

"Where's Link?" I asked.

"She went to get something." Josh said.

"Get something?" I asked. He just shrugged. I went up stairs to her room. I listened at her door and I heard soft sobs. I peeked in the door and her face was in her pillow.

"Link?" I said softly. I walked in and sat on the bed. I shook her leg lightly to let her know I was in here. She looked up at me, her eyes full of tears and her cheeks tear stained.

"Link, what wrong?" I asked again.

"Nothing, I'm fine." She said.

"Link, your sitting in your room crying your eyes out, you've been acting weird all night, whats honestly wrong?" I said. She looked down and looked around the room.

"Im so stupid..." She said.

"Um,what?"

"I cant believe I did it." She said.

"What do you mean? Im confused." She looked at me seriously.
