30. Truth or coffee beans

Patrick came in super mad. He kicked the boxes of pizza and slouched on the ground next to Pete crossing his arms. We didnt know what to say until Josh and Link walked in. Pete decided to break the silence.

"Hey Trick, I have an idea to help u feel better."

"I'm not in the mood right now Pete." He said.

"Well I dont care what mood you're in. I have an idea." Pete said.

"Fine Pete, what is it." Patrick said.

"Let's play Truth or Dare!" Pete said.

"Really Pete." Patrick smiled.

"Come on, its your favorite."

"Ok Pete. Let's play." He said, a little more cheerfully.

"Alright, who goes first?" Pete said. Nobody volunteered.

"Nobody? You know what this means.." Pete said. Everyone groaned because this was Pete's way of making people go first. I was smiling because I knew where this was going.

"Jax, the hat please." He said. A few years ago, Pete and I made a Hat of Destiny, kinda childish I know. Pete put a bunch of lima beans with our names written on them. Pete always let me pick the names in the order of their turns. It was kind of dumb, but it was fair. Mostly. Its was pretty odd how Petes name only made an appearance when we were drawing for something good. I got up to the closet right by where we were. The hat was right there, from when we used it last. I grabbed it and Pete held it out for me to pick a bean. We were being really dramatic about it. I pulled and bean which read the name Tyler. I showed the bean to Pete who screamed out Tylers name.

"Ok Ty, truth or dare?" Pete asked.

"Well considering the fact that my legs are broken, will the dares be fairly simple?" Tyler asked.

"Of course. Im not that cruel." Pete said.

"Ok then, dare." Tyler said. Pete got up and went to the kitchen. He rummaged around for a few seconds til he found what he wanted.

"Ok Tyler, eat these." He said, holding out 2 coffee beans.

"Dude, no way." He said.

"Oh my gosh Pete. That's terrible. Dont make him do that." I said, feeling bad for Tyler.

"Fine, but only because he's immobile." He said laughing. He picked out another bean, which said Patrick.

"Ok Patrick, truth or dare?" Pete asked him.

"Uh, dare." Patrick said.

"I dare you to kiss you crush, in this room. Everyone except Patrick close your eyes." He said. Oh gosh. I wasnt about to be kissed by Patrick, so I held my knees close to me and crossed my arms over my knees and stuck my face in my arms. About 15 seconds later, Pete told everyone to open their eyes. We all opened our eyes and Patrick and Link were kissing. They were still kissing after we opened our eyes. Brendon and I looked at each other with a "what is even going on" expression. Josh finally noticed.

"Hey! What are you doing!" Josh said.

"Ok, we are just going to go to the kitchen..." Brendon said grabbing my hand. Josh grabbed Patrick by the shirt and pushed him against the wall.

Oh boy.
