28. Back again

"Josh are you ok?"

"Yeah Im fine." He said getting up. "See you later Jax." He said running away. I guess he's fine? I started walking up to Elton.

I just got back from the meeting, which was just saying for us to go home. I started to walk to my car when someone else ran up to me.

"Hey lil lion. What's up?" Brendon said. His nickname made me smile.

"Heyy. Do you need a ride to the house?" I asked.

"If it's with you, then of course." He said smiling and opening the car for me. I let him drive because he was a better driver than I was. I was tired and my head hurt from the Courtney stuff. I was starting to fall asleep but I kept waking up because I was with Brendon.

"If your tired then you can fall asleep." He said patting my head. I literally couldn't help myself. I held Brendon's hand and fell asleep.

The next day

All of us were at our apartment. Well meaning mine and Link's apartment. We ordered like 3 pizzas, thanks to Pete. We had the Logo Game in one of our closets so we were all playing it. Joe picked Cream of Wheat on his card and Link and I lost it. Link yelled out "WHAT IS THIS!" and I was cring from laughing so hard. Tyler picked some diaper company and Pete made a bunch of these jokes about it. Pete was also throwing pizza at people, which broke a few things, including Patrick's glasses. Dallon had a huge pizza imprint on his face from Pete as well. We all just had a fun time considering the fact that we all just went through that crap back at Eltons. Even though the entire night Josh seemed down. He was really quiet and seemed to be in a bad mood. After a while he got up and went outside in the backyard. I kind of had a feeling this was about Link, so I went after him. He was sitting on the patio table cring.

"Josh? What's wrong?" I asked, assuming this was Link he was crying about.

"Im just scared." He said.

"Um..of what exactly?"

"Im scared I'm going to lose Link. I-I dont know what to do about it." He said.

"Listen Josh, all we can do is hope Elton figures it out. And if he cant then we will have to. Trust me, Link's been my best friend forever. I wouldn't anything happen to her, and I doubt you will too." I said poking his forehead. He smiled.

"Thanks Jax. That helped alot." He said.

"Now go inside and hang out with your girlfriend." I said.

"She's not my girlfriend." He chuckled.

"Not yet Josh. Not yet." I laughed. He got up and went inside. Just as I got up too, Brendon opened the door and walked out.

"Hey gorgeous. I thought I'd find yoh here." He said. I smiled and followed him out to the actual yard. We looked at the different patterns of stars for a while, occasionally pointing at them.

"They're so pretty." I said.

"Almost as pretty as you." He said smiling at me. I smiled back and we started to kiss. We kissed passionately for a while until I heard wood snap. I looked around and Brendon seemed to be alert. All of sudden, we heard a scream. We started looking around the yard wondering who screamed we stopped to look at each other in question. We just listened.

Silence.
