Chapter 3:Heading out/flashback

Jax's pov
I sighed. As much as I was humbled to be a Guardian, it got tiring ALOT. The missions were alot of work. And usually Elton had some sarcastic comment that usually offended people, which I actually humored. Also, at times and certain places, our powers were hard to control. We had discovered our powers when we were sophomores in high school. We were all sitting in the cafeteria and Dallon had this big liter of water and he drank it all. He threw his bottle at Brendon and when he caught it, it filed up again. We were all in shock and confused. Then Spencer took it and it froze solid. We all took turns holding it, Pete and Josh making it melt, Andy and Spencer freezing it, and Brendon and Tyler filling it up again when it either spilled or evaporated from the fires heat. When it came to Dallon and Joe, it turned to dirt. When it came to Patrick, it turned to camouflage dirt. When it came to Link and I, nothing happened. All of us concluded someone was playing a joke on us so we went outside. We were all together, making jokes and talking when a familiar group came up to us. It was Gerard and his group of friends. I stood in front of everyone.

"Hey ladies." He said, while others snickered in the back.

"What do you want?"

"We want you wimps to get off our turf." He said.

"Wow, the 10 square foot of 'turf' we are on, how very sorry we are." I said sarcastically.

"Shut up Jax, it's better than yours." He said.

"If it looked like yours? Than I'm glad I don't have one." I said, earning a laugh from everyone.

"Were you born on a highway?" He asked.

"Excuse me?" I said.

"I thought u were, because that's were most accidents happen." He said which made me kinda mad.

"I mean, the only letters in the alphabet you know are KFC." He added.

"Hey thats not funny leave her alone." Link said.

"Lay off man." Brendon said.
At this point, I was really mad. I noticed that the sunny weather outside and suddenly become dark and overcast.

"Haha you are so ugly-" Pete cut him off.

"Listen man leave her alone or else." Pete said. Pete was my cousin so it was nice to always have him around.

"I dont have to take that from you!" Gerard yelled. I was done. The weather was very dark. I had enough.

"So Jax, like I was saying." I cut him off as I punched him in the face. He fell to the ground and lighting started bursting through the sky. I looked at my hands and saw sparks in my hands. What was it? Link noticed me and helped me from falling. Teachers and administrators started coming out wondering what happened. Then I realized I was probably going to get expelled. A teacher started escorting me away but every one else followed. Link came up to me and touched me shoulder. That's when it happened. Everything froze and everything went dark. I felt like I was being pulled into a tunnel, then I realized I was. I saw a hole of light slowly getting closer. I finally reached it and I realized I was in the exact same place I was before Gerard came out. I closed my eyes to try to comprehend all of this and when I opened my eyes everyone was standing with there backs turned about 8 feet away.

"Guys?" I asked.

"Jax!" Link screamed.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I think we just went back in time." Pete said. "Look." He pointed to Gerard coming towards us, just like before.

"Let's just head to my house and talk about this." Patrick said.

Jax's pov
"I'll order a pizza." Pete said, leaving the room to order.

"Ok, so what happened?" Pretty much everyone asked.

"Well, let's think about this. Jax got increasingly mad, and it got stormy. After she punched Gerard lightning burst through the sky repeatedly and sparks in her hands. And then I touched her shoulder and we went back to that timeframe....wow this is crazy." Link said.

"So do you think you guys have a power too? Like the rest of us?" Josh said.

"At first I thought it was a joke but now I think it might me real." Link said.

"So we have powers?" Andy asked.

"I think so, but we need to test it again to make sure." Link said. Then I got a phone call.

"Hello?" I said, putting it on speaker.

"Well well well, I was right after all." The caller said.

"Uh I think you might have the wrong number sir." I said.

"Haha no I'm all too right. Hello Jax, Link, Patrick, Pete, Joe, Andy, Brendon, Dallon, Spencer, Tyler And Josh. Wow that's alot of work haha." The man said.

"Who is this?" Link asked into my phone.

"Haha you should find out soon I hope, who knows with the flights these days...oh jet lag is horrible! Haha!" He said. He seemed very happy and it was kinda creepy.

"Everyone look in your pockets." He said. We all look at our pockets to all find a ticket to Greenland.

"Tickets?" I asked.

"Oh yes! Get on as soon as you can and I will have someone waiting for you all...have a nice flight!" He said, hanging up.

"Wow, should we go?" I asked. Everyone surprisingly nodded their heads.

"Well let's get packed then." Link said.

"TO GREENLAND!!" Brendon and I said, high fiving.

2 days later
Jax's pov
We all walked inside the airport finally. The flight took FOREVER. Haha I'm pretty sure Joe slept the entire flight. We were immediately greeted by a peppy lady, who was the person who was meeting with us.

"Hello, my name is Julie and I'm supposed to meet with you guys?" She asked.

"Yep." We all said.

"Great! Follow me." She said walking away. We walked for quite a while until we reached a certain door. She used an ID badge to open the door. Inside was an elevator. Odd I know. We all walked in and a little suspicious on where this lady was taking us. We went down for a long time until we reached a stop. We opened it and we enter a huge surveillance room. It was huge. It had every single country on camera. We walked through a bunch of cool rooms until we walk into a conference room. There was a man sitting down in all white.

"Hello! Pleasure to meet you all! Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Elton, and I'm pretty much the lord of Rock and Roll. Julie rolled her eyes.

"Hi." We all said while he went around shaking all of our hands.

"Wow! You can sense the power in this room, can't you Julie?" He asked.

"Elton, get to the point." She said. She definitely seemed less peppy when he was around.

"Why are we here?" Spencer asked.

"You are here because you guys are special. You all have powers! Isn't that neat! I'm sure you all know yours already so I won't get to that. And you are also here because....we need to save rock and roll." He said.

"Save rock and roll? How is that possible?" Dallon said.

"Rock and Roll is going crazy! People destroying things, taking good music and killing it! Since you guys have powers, you can save it!" Elton said.

"Wait, you expect us to save rock and roll with powers we don't even know how to use? For a guy in the middle of Greenland under an airport we just met?" Tyler asked.

"Hmm..yes. But you will be trained trust me." Elton said.

"If we don't do this....what will happen?" Patrick asked.

"It will spread to humanity and destroy us all so....I hope you say yes!" He said. Why is he so peppy?
We all huddle up and we only said three words.
"In, say I." Patrick said.
We all have our vote and we turned around.

"So, when do we start?"
