Links POV
Elton seemed joyful for sure. But it was rather strange he had brought us to Greenland so soon. Moving on, when he said that we'd have training he wasn't kidding. Julie gave Elton a sarcastic smile and guided us to a room. There, we were given form fitting black suits, kinda like the ones in the Hunger Games. Continuing, we changed then were taken to an arena. The arena filled with obstacles and other various items, but I quickly noticed above the exit the words "You are what you love not who loves you" above the door. Julie shook her head and smiled whilst walking off. Strange. As soon as she was out of the arena, a holographic like screen appeared. There on the screen stood Elton, he smiled then began to speak."Welcome, Guardians. You are standing in the Phoenix Arena. Here you will be trained and guided into being the saviors of our kind. Now for your weapons. Patrick, you'll be trained with knives. Pete, you'll be trained with numb-chucks. Joe, machete. Andy, crossbow. Dallon, hunting bow. Spencer, pistol. Brendon, shot gun. Josh, butterfly knife. And Tyler, assault rifle. Now, link and Jax I will personally work with your mind talents while the others learn their weapons. Equipment is on the back wall, let the training begin" Elton finished and the screen clicked off and disappeared. Everyone else gathered their tools while Jax and I stood aside. An announcement came over the intercom, "first event: survival". We were all assigned partners over that announcement. Me and Patrick. Jax and Brendon. Josh and Spencer. Dallon and Tyler. Joe and Andy. And Pete and Joe. There was six stations that were the exact same set up across the arena. They were representing a Forrest, and had included multiple tests. Patrick and I climbed into out station and began the test. First a holographic animal attempted to attack so Patrick grabbed onto me and blended us into a tree. Then a wildfire simulation appeared, I don't know how but managed to shoot water at it and put it out. Then it got colder, so I again managed to place a fire into the pit. All of these things kept happening until the simulation was over, we got out and Jax and I were directed to leave with Elton while the rest stayed. If I wasn't sure of this, I was sure of one thing. This would be one heck of a ride.
