BEFORE THIS STARTS!! I'd like to tell you that I don't care if you have a job or not, or if you really do work at starbucks, or if you had a boyfriend, it's just a part of the story. Change it if you want, I don't care, but this is how the story is progressing and mostly what I'm choosing for you is important.  Also, I live in the U.S, so some things may be slightly inaccurate. Sorry! Anyways, let get into it!

♨︎♨︎♨︎

"God, y/n, you seem so tense today. Why?" Your friend who worked with you, f/n, asked.

"Nothing. I just am a little on edge, that's all. I just want to be home, with Alex," you said, turning back to the counter and greeting the customer. Your shift at Starbucks was no where close to being finished, and you just wanted to go home and see Alex, your boyfriend. You'd had a rough past few days, and you just wanted to go home. Your shift ended at 1:00 am, and it was barely 11:00.

You saw a man with brown hair and brown eyes sitting in the corner. 'He's kind of cute,' you thought, before scolding yourself. You had a boyfriend!

"That'll be five thirty eight, please," I said to the woman. She handed me her money, and I made her drink, sighing.

"Hey, y/n," You heard your boss call.

"Hi, Kristen!" You say, fake cheerfully.

"You can go home early today. You look tired," she said.

"R-really?"

"Yeah, why not? You're always on time, and I don't think you've ever missed a day. Go home, relax!" She said. You thanked her, grabbed your backpack, and started heading home.

You called a taxi, seeing as Alex had the car, and told the driver where to go. When you got to your building, the car stopped and you handed the man money, thanked him, and got out. Alex's car was there. Weird, seeing as he shouldn't be off work for a while. You shrugged, and climbed up the stairs to your flat. When you opened the door, you were shocked at what you saw.

There was a woman with short black hair pushed up against the wall, Alex kissing her. When you opened the door, they didn't stop.

"ALEX!" you screamed, grabbing his attention. He spun around quickly.

"I-I can explain-" he started. You were furious.

"There is nothing to explain! You cheated on me! There's nothing to say here! We're done! You hear me? WE'RE DONE," You yelled. You stormed out, slamming the door, and ran outside.

'Well, this is great. I have no house and no boyfriend. Great," you thought to yourself. You decided to head to a bar. You started walking towards the general direction of town. You heard a noise behind you, but when it turned out to be nothing, you shrugged it off and kept walking. Suddenly, you were pinned to the wall by a big man. He had green eyes, black hair and a big smirk.

"Oh hello, pretty lady," he said, smirking down at you.

"Please don't touch me," you whispered to the man cornering you.

"I'll do whatever I want with you, missy," he said in a gruff voice.

Just then, a man with brown eyes and brown hair came. The man from earlier.

"Let her go, you sick man."

"And why should I?" he man asked.

"Because I said so."

"And what gives you the authority to tell me what to do?" He asked, still smirking.

"Because if you din't, I'll kick your arse," The brown eyed man responded, calmly.

"Oh yeah? I'd like to see you try." The brown eyed man swiftly punched the green eyed man in the jaw. He stumbled backwards, then walked down the street. You slid down the wall, hugging your knees to your chest.

"Hey, you alright?" The man asked, sitting next to you.

"Y-yeah, thanks for, um, you know, punching him in the face," You said awkwardly. The brown eyed man laughed. His laugh was adorable to you.

"No problem. I hate him," he said. He glanced down at his watch.

"Oh shoot! I've gotta go. Have fun doing... whatever you were gonna do," He said, getting up.

"Wait! W-what's your name?" You asked, not expecting an answer. Surprisingly, he turned around.

"Dan. Dan Howell. And you?"

"Y/f/n," you replied. He smiled.

"Nice name," he said, then walked away.

"T-thanks, I got it for my birthday...," you whispered quietly, knowing he wouldn't hear.
