You woke up in white hot pain. Sweat dripping down your face in small droplets. Tears soon followed. The veins on your arms popped out, your hand grasping on nothing but air, your whole body searing, on fire. You couldn't breathe. You couldn't move.
Every organ hurt. Like you'd been shot through the heart with an arrow. Sliced through the veins with a dagger. Stabbed in the neck with a sword.
Breathing was hard, let alone thinking. What were you supposed to do?
Scream.
You tried. You gave it all your willpower. Until there was absolutely nothing left. You screamed until you couldn't anymore.
Then it was gone. The pain was gone.
