Prologue: Soon

Pol's

I just got home from a meeting – a meeting which I regret going. Dapat nakinig na lang ako sa sinasabi ng isipan ko kanina na kayang-kaya ni Achilles ang meeting na iyon. Kahit kailan naman ay hindi ko nagustuhan ang pakikihalubilo sa mga taong siyudad. I like to think that I am as primitive as Tarzan – ako nga iyong hidden son ni Hera at ni Hades Vejar.

I went upstairs. Habang umaakyat ako sa hagdanan ay isa-isa ko ring hinuhubad ang damit ko. I let it fall on the floor. I was even humming the last song I heard in the car. I'm feeling kinda pissed but now that I am home, unti-unti nang nawawala iyon.

"Pol? Kanina ka pa?" Sabrina yawned. She smiled and put down her book. Nanlaki pa nga ang mga mata niya nang makita niyang halos wala na akong saplot. Tumawa siya. "H'wag mong sabihing nakipag-meeting ka sa board ng naka-boxer's lang?" She giggled. My heart leaped. Hindi ko madalas sabihin sa kanya ang nararamdaman ko, hindi ako pala- I love you – but I love her very much. I love her with all my heart and I really want her to be my wife. I'm actually starting to build a life around her and because of this, hindi mahirap para sa akin ang mangarap at gawin ang mga bagay na gusto ko.

Gumapang siya palapit sa akin pagkatapos ay lumuhod siya sa ibabaw ng kama. I walked closer to the bed and when we're close enough, Sabrina wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheeks.
