Raymond was home and I was fighting to keep our baby girl alive. It was a struggle with me. I was so high risk. Raymond went with me to every doctor's appointment and he went o my last ultra sound with me. He got to experience little things toward a the end.
He was on leave so he could do that. He went home to see his parents. I couldn't travel due to the premature labor scares that I was having. His mom came down with him super bowl Sunday for my baby shower which no one showed up to. Not even the girl who was supposed to be throwing the shower for me didn't show up. Sad I know. I had food and cake for days left.
I was hurt and saddened that my friends didn't show up. I went to the rest room later that day and got the scare of my life. My mucus plug came out on super bowl Sunday. The doctor told me if that came out shortly after the babies would be here. They had stopped my labor six times already. He told me if I went into labor again he would have to let me have her.
I was seven and a half months when I went into a full blown labor they couldn't stop. Raymond was at work and I was home alone. I laid on the couch in pain. Not supposed to go into labor because I had a c-section with Julian and the doctor scheduled one for Jessica when she was to come. But said if I went into early labor again to rush in immediately. I tried to call to tdind Raymond after he came and left the house at lunch.
I was mean to him and afraid to tell him that I was in labor. His NCO's had to track him down and he rushed home to take me to Savannah, Georgia to Candler Hospital. He did everything wrong. Made me walk from far in the parking lot with him after he parked my suv. Wished he would've let me out at the entrance. He then leaves me to answer his cellphone in the waiting area.
The transport team was slow so me and another ladies mom decided to just head up to labor and delivery ourselves. Raymond was back inside and we met transport at the elevator. We got to labor and delivery and I was whisked off to be put on monitors. My doctor was coming in on a crash c-section for another patient. So after he came in to see me. The nurse alerted him of my situation and he said to go home I wasn't doing anything by what the monitor had showed. But the nurse showed him other wise. He checked me and I was two and half centimeters dilated and I was already afaced. He told the nurses to prep me for a stat c-section that the baby was coming. Told them to alert peds neonatal team for a preemie being delivered. Raymond was scared but holding my hand the whole time.
He notified everyone in the family before I was wheeled to the operating room.
