"where the freaking hell is this damned book?", the blond male cursed, frantically looking for the book containing his very own ideas for various song texts and such. he didn't even remember when and where he lost it. he ran a hand through his hair while letting out a desperate sigh. "great, just great. now someone's being blessed with my ideas he or she could use for their own.", he mumbled, feeling more and more frustrated with every minute that passed by. wondering how he could be so stupid to lose this important book, he began to walk back to the dorm he shared with his friends, who were his band members at the same time.

slamming the door open, he ignored jin's worried glance and stormed into the kitchen. all all he wanted was a good espresso right now. "you alright?", yoongi asked. feeling like he could trust his hyung, he took a deep breath and blurted out: "i was so dumb to lose my book with the song texts in it. yeah, you can blame me now, you can yell at me, but that won't bring it back." yoongi raised an eyebrow, before saying: "you're right, that's indeed your fault. you should go the places you have been recently again, maybe someone kind found your book and wants to give it back to you."

namjoon knew that it was ridiculous to hope for something like this, but he nodded anyways and decided to go into the city the next day.

i sat at my desk, flipping through the pages of this book i found earlier that day. it just lay on the asphalt, immediately catching my interest. the book was simply black, yet it was filled with countless notes, and, as i realized soon, song texts, written by a certain kim namjoon. never heard of him, but he seemed to be an interesting person from what i could read from the song texts. it were simple texts about the every day life, about love and friendship.

"if only i'd know him, then i could return this book to him.", i said out loud. "i'm 100% sure he didn't lose it on purpose." soon after, i decided that i'd return to the city tomorrow, hoping to meet the rightful owner of this book.

"so, i found it here.", i thought, staring at the asphalt as if hoping i could find out about the owner of this book. at the same time, i noticed a young man from the corner of my eyes, who was scanning the area, running a hand through his blond hair. he was really good-looking, to be honest. soon after, he approached the place where i stood, his eyes scanning the asphalt, he seemed a bit desperate.

"excuse me, are you looking for something?", i asked, smiling gently. he was way taller than me, as i had to look up at him. "ah, yes, i do. i lost a very important book yesterday, my song texts were written in it.", he replied, sadness taking over his features. "there's no way....", i thought and couldn't even believe it in the first place. taking out the book from my backpack, i showed it to him. "is this what you have been looking for? i found it yesterday, exactly at this place!", i blurted out, my face heating up slowly.

the blond guy smiled at me, showing his cute dimples. "oh god, that's it! thank you so much!", he exclaimed happily, taking the book and flipping through its pages. "so, uh, that might come off as rude, but i actually read some of your song texts, i was really curious about it.", i confessed shyly. "and i just wanted to say that you're really talented!", i said and bowed down. when i looked at him once again, i saw a faint blush tinting his cheeks and he rubbed his neck sheepishly.

"by the way, i'm (n/n) (y/n), it's a pleasure to meet you!", i smiled at him. "same goes to me. i guess you already know my name, right?", namjoon grinned. "anyways, i owe you one for finding my precious book. what about a coffee?" "i can't say 'no' to this.", i replied, tucking a strand of (h/c) hair behind my ear. namjoon smiled enthusiastically, grabbed my hand and said: "i know a great café nearby!", and pulled me with him, ignoring that we totally looked like a couple.

"what, you're actually in a band?", i exclaimed surprised, staring at namjoon. "yeah, we're not famous, but that's not even our goal. we just want to make music.", he admitted somewhat calm, yet he looked at his fingers, avoiding my gaze. "and, what exactly is your style of music? do you dance or?" namjoon became flustered and shook his head frantically. "what, dancing?! i can't dance, i'm one of the worst dancers ever. but i rap. may not seem so cool, but yeah." i looked at him excitedly. "you rap?! that's amazing! did you record some tracks already? can you show me?", i asked, making him blush yet again.

"y-you really think that's amazing?" "yeah, i do. to me, rapping seems difficult as hell, so whenever i see someone rapping, i can't help but admire this person.", i said to him, my eyes staring into his dark ones. namjoon hit his lip and mumbled: "that's definitely sounding creepy, as i barely know you, but you're actually the kindest person i ever met in my whole life."

"r-really?", i stuttered, my face heating up more and more. "yeah, really." soon after, we had finished our coffee and walked outside, deciding to walk together until our ways part. suddenly, namjoon grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers, causing me to blush madly. he smirked at me and said: "you actually look really cute when you're blushing." then, he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"i really like you.", he stated and pulled me into a hug, embracing me, letting me feel his warmth. "you barely know me."

"we could change that, if you want."

"i'd gladly want this.", i smiled, looking up to him.

sometimes, losing and finding something isn't so bad after all.
