*Jade's P.O.V*
Maybe accepting what's happening is best. Maybe living under the control of someone you know you can't defeat is alright. And maybe doing whatever he says is what's beneficial for me.
I laid down on the same bed I thought I'd love to sleep in, yet I can't seem to love it anymore. The thought of what I was told to do here under control is what I'd never really forget.
"I'm going out" I heard Alex speak up from the walk in closet near the bed. I snapped my attention towards him before slowly sitting up, carefully placing a hand on my back to support it due to the ache that has been appeared.
"Alex, it's my doctor's appointment today" I spoke with my voice coming out in a whisper. He came out fully dressed and combed his hair before looking at me. "And?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"You were supposed to take me there?" My voice came out as a question and what I received in response was a chuckle. I looked at him bewildered to why would he react this way.
"You think I'm going to take responsibility of that thing?" He pointed towards my stomach. I looked at him in pure disgust as he called the baby 'a thing'. "It's a he. He's not a thing. He's a well living human" I said sternly. Alex looked at me surprised before furrowing his eyebrows and walked towards me.
He gripped my chin in his hand and made me look up at him as he leaned towards me "don't you ever dare tell me what's right or wrong. And certainly not what's against my opinion. If I say it's an it then it is an it" he said through gritted teeth.
He let my chin go before straightening back up and fixing his blazer. "And about the appointment thing. Go ask your lover to take you. I'm sure he cares about your child more than I do" he said and walked out of the room leaving me shocked.
Never had I thought Alex would be who he is right now, back on the plane and during the times we went on dates. The promises he made, all false.
"Jade, I've got something for you" Alex said pulling me towards the water fountain that was adorned in colorful lights. He stood me in front of it before sitting on the side of the marble that surrounded the fountain and held my hands pulling me closer towards him and looked up at me" I looked at him with a confused smile before he took a deep breath and smiled.
"Jade, since the day on the plane, I've never been able to take my eyes off your beautiful face. I've never been able to stop exploring your vast beauty which is every single part of you. Your body, your mind, your personality, your actions and the way you care for everyone around you"
I blushed at the thought of him complimenting me. My heart beat thumped against my chest as he pulled out a small box from his pocket and opened it to reveal a beautiful necklace. Simple yet astonishing. "I've been wanting to ask you this for a while. So, will you be my girlfriend, Jade?" He asked. I didn't know how to react towards this but as soon as I felt tears forming in my eyes, I nodded.
"Yes, Alex. I'll be your girlfriend" I replied and with that he pulled me into a kiss. "I promise to keep you happy forever" he said
I promise to keep you happy forever... That's what he said. Bullshit. I wiped the years that I hadn't notice had fallen from my face and reached for my phone.
The appointment today was something I must attend as Alex never took me to the previous ones which resulted in me missing them. Jia wasn't able to take me as she was taking care of the house. The doctor had called and asked me strictly to come today. I had no choice. Jia was off for the week as she told me she had something to do back home so even that chance is gone.
My finger scrolled through the contacts in my phone and stopped at Harry's. Will he answer? He wouldn't. The voice in the back of my head spoke. Yet something made me confident that he will pick up. And so I pressed his number.
My heart beat increased with every ring that filled my ears. Maybe he wouldn't pick up. He might be busy... or maybe he just wouldn't pick up.
"Hello?" He spoke. At that moment I stood still. I was frozen. He picked up. Hearing his voice after such a long time made me feel something different. The same deep voice. Hoarse and irresistible. "Hello?" He said once again a bit more eager maybe and that's when I cancelled the call.
I couldn't talk to him. He probably didn't even know who called him. I locked my phone and got up to change into different clothes and go to the appointment by myself. I should've never called him. I was so stupid to think of something like that. I sighed before brushing the tangles out of my hair and wore my flats and grabbed my phone and bag.
My phone rang as soon as I put it in my phone making me stop in my actions. Is he calling back? I quickly pulled it out to see it was not him but Gemma calling. I sighed in relief and picked it up.
"Hello, Jade?" She spoke. "Hey. Yeah" I replied. "Phew you finally answered" she said a little quieter this time. "Alex called me" she said. "What? When?" I asked her. Why would he call her. "He called me to take you to the doctor's appointment you have today, apparently. Are you feeling alright? Is he not with you? Where did he go?" She bombarded me with questions. "I don't know..." I replied. She sighed before speaking up. "I'm on my way though. I'll be there in a few minutes. You're alright right" she asked. "Hmm" I replied her. "Alright. I'm almost there. See you" she said and ended the call.
She doesn't know about the baby yet and that's what eating me alive. The fact that she agreed to come take me to the doctor by Alex's request amazed me. She really did care...

I waited for about 15 minutes before Gemma arrived. I opened the door and she smiled before engulfing me into a hug. "Hey" she said and came in. "Hi..." I gave her a smile as well. "What's wrong? Why do you have to go to the doct...." She stopped mid sentence as she looked all over my body to see any defects before stopping her gaze on my stomach and then back into my eyes.
She froze for a few moments and blinked as if she was hurt. "How long?" She whispered making me frown. "5 months" I said softly. "Oh" was all she said. "I'm happy for you" she said pulling a smile on her face. "Let's go" she said breaking our eye contact and walking out.
And without thinking I surely knew that Gemma would tell Harry about the baby. I was dying inside praying she wouldn't tell and she had promised me she wouldn't but I knew her very well. There was nothing she kept from her brother about me and there was nothing she kept from me about Harry.
