"Moments of happiness are like rose petals, they're beautiful and lively at first, but soon fade and die"

Happiness. 4 years of pure happiness. With Brooklyn. With Harry. As a family but not quite. It's hard to believe that two people totally unrelated can live so peacefully together without confusions, yet Harry and I are the proof. I loved him yet I hid it from him and maybe, he loved me back too. The last time he told me he loved me was 4 years ago and I wasn't sure if that was exactly what he said. And me? Well, I never told him.
"Mommy!!!" I heard a squeal from Brooklyn coming from downstairs. I smiled at his voice as I quickly folded the rest of the ironed clothes and hung them in Harry's closet, walking out to see what was going on.
"Mommy! Uncle Harry is not giving me balloons" Brooklyn whined as Harry stood high on the ladder, attaching the blown up balloons on the ceiling of the living room.
"Harry" I said sternly in a demanding manner but obviously acting it out just for Brooklyn.
"Finee. Fine" Harry said extending his hands in surrender and throwing the balloons down. With that Brooklyn immediately laughed and ran towards them to pick them up.
"The birthday party's in a few hours and look, we have absolutely nothing decorated" Harry said, stepping down the ladder.
"Well, I've got the cake decorated in pink cars and pink tires from the bakery" I said making Harry laugh.
"I told you, pink will be his favorite color" he laughed pulling me closer to him as he placed a kiss on my forehead.
"We better start getting ready, I have to bathe Brooklyn and get him dressed as well" I said worried about my little prince's 4th birthday. Harry and I made sure Brooklyn had his best birthday today. We invited all of Brooklyn's aunts and uncles obviously Niall and the rest as Harry would say and Harry's parents. Well my parents? I guess they kind of rejected...? Dad was completely healthy and he could walk right now but both mum and dad kind of lost contact with me. I called them... They never answered... I called my brother... He answered but only talked about how my child needs to be with his father and not his mother's ex husband..
I suppose no one from my family approved of me being with Harry with Brooklyn.
"Alright, I'll just blow up some more balloons I guess, got get ready" Harry said. I nodded and turned around to leave only to be pulled back with Harry pulling by my wrist.
"Oh and there's a dress I put in the corner of your closet. Please wear that" he said letting go of my wrist. I looked at his face but he only responded with a sweet smile.
"Alright, Harry"
I left Harry working on the decorations, while walking upstairs towards my room to see what dress he had bought me again. No matter how many times I would tell Harry not to buy me lavishing gifts, he would only respond with opposite of what I say.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Here I come" I heard Brooklyn playing in the room. I walked inside to find him with all his toys, I smiled at the sight and opened the closet, pulling out a shopping bag from the corner. Saint Laurent. How bloody obvious. I laughed at my own sarcastic thoughts before pulling the dress out, making my jaw open wide. It was a deep burgundy colored dress. Lace on top, silk on the bottom. I placed it on myself before looking in the mirror. It reached my knees and it was more than beautiful. I smiled at the thought of Harry trying to make everything so perfect.
