*Harry's P.O.V*
I woke up to endless notifications on my phone, completely annoying me. I opened my eyes and looked to my side to find that Jade wasn't there anymore. I sighed, rubbing my eyes and got up, reaching over to the bedside table to get my phone.
12 missed calls from Kendall. What on earth. I opened messages to find her asking if I'm free for the night and that why did I leave so suddenly yesterday. I quickly texted her that I'm busy and locked my phone, getting up to take a shower.
I had to go to Alex today to get Brooklyn back. I had gotten so attached to Brooklyn. He was my little boy... I was there for him for his life yet Alex just swiftly took him away, just because he's Brooklyn's biological father.
It was not long before I changed into some jeans and a shirt, placing my phone in my pocket and wearing my boots. Gemma was supposedly still asleep and so was Jade. I was thankful for Gemma to come last night, she stayed with Jade for the night and comforted her.
"Wait Harry!" I heard Jade rush to the living room. I looked up to find her wearing her shoes as well. Oh so she's not asleep.
"I want to go as well. I need to talk to Alex," she said. I can't possibly stop her from doing that and so I nodded.
"Let's go," I said and opened the door for her. I drove us off. The whole ride was extremely silent and I was anxious about what would Alex say.
It's been a while. I tried and tried yet I just couldn't get myself to move on. Jade was engraved in my life and even if she thinks I've moved on, the truth is that I've not. I'm still the same Harry that she loved back then in Bali, the same Harry who she spent her 8 months of pregnancy with Ivanna, with. I'm still the same old Harry.
I parked the car outside the security gate, Jade immediately rushed out, me following her. The security had opened the gate after talking to Alex and so he knew we were coming.
"Jade." I called out to her as she started walking too quickly. She was nervous.
"Jade!" I called a little louder but she didn't listen again.
"For goodness sake!" I reached forward and grabbed her arm stopping her immediately. She gasped but looked at me with an anxious look. Her eyes almost pleaded for something.
I placed my hands on her cheeks. She closed her eyes at the impact.
"Take a deep breath," I whispered and she did as told. I could feel her calming down on her third deep breath, with that she opened her eyes and looked into mine.
"Thank you," she spoke up softly. I just returned replied with a smile.
"Now we can go. I'm telling you, trust me. We'll get Brooklyn back safe and sound," I told her. There was a brief silence before she nodded and turned around again. This time we both walked together through the little garden to the entrance and rang the door bell.
The door opened to reveal Alex with a smug smirk on his face, making me boil in anger. I was so close to punching him right in the face yet I knew I couldn't.
"Hello there, Mrs. Smith," he emphasized on the Mrs. Smith.
"She's not your wife," I muttered.
"Oh really? Is she yours then?" He said and I knew I couldn't answer that.
"That's what I thought," he said before looking over at Jade again.
"Alex, I need to see Brooklyn," Jade spoke up only resulting in Alex laughing.
"I thought you were too busy fucking this dude to worry about our child," he mocked.
"Shut the fuck up!" I raised my voice but I felt Jade's hands on my arm, making me look at her.
"I'll handle this. Please," she said. I seriously don't understand why she can listen to such harsh words against her.
"Alex, please I need to see him," Jade pleaded.
"You are not going to see him! He's my son, and you've kept him away from me for the past 4 years!" Alex raised his voice towards Jade. I stepped forward but once again Jade beat me to it.
"Because those four years were spent without you because of your actions! Do you even remember the time you used to call the same son you just called right now, an it?!" She shouted back at him and I was surprised she actually did that. I was backed off from their conversation. I couldn't say a thing, though I desperately wanted to.
"Oh for fucks sake, Jade. I was stupid back then! I didn't know how to raise an unexpected child!" He boomed back. Jade's eyes were glossy and she was on verge of tears.
"That's not what concerned you when you practically raped me when I begged you to stop. That's not what you said when you used to push me against kitchen counters when I was carrying this same son you call yours. If you weren't ready for a child, why did you ruin me?!" She broke down. My heart dropped at her words. He... raped her? She never told me that. She never opened herself to me.
"I'll would've let you seen him if you weren't planning on spending your life with this pathetic man that pretended to help you raise Brooklyn," he said. I certainly did not pretend anything! Jade would not go against me.
"Jade, ignore him. We'll find a way," I was in the midst of my sentence when she raised her hand to stop me from speaking.
"Alex, I am not planning to spend my life with Harry. He's just a friend who helped me raising Brooklyn. I get it... he's your son. Just let me see Brooklyn. I'll stay here if you'd let me see him" she said completely shattering me. What? Just a friend who helped her raise Brooklyn? She's doing this just to see Brooklyn but how could she say something like this about me in front of this douche? I couldn't say anything. I was here to help get Brooklyn back and she just...
I suppose she doesn't need my help. With that I turned around and left them two alone. If this is what I get for genuinely supporting someone I loved then fine.
I clenched my jaw wiped the inner corners of my eyes where the tears had formed, getting in my car and running my hands through my hair. I took out my phone and texted Gemma before my fingers hovered over Kendall's contact. That's exactly what I'm going to do.
"Up for some fun?" -H
"Always ready ;) my place?" -Kendall
"I'll be there in a few minutes" -H
