*Harry's P.O.V*

I watched her every move as soon as she stepped inside my house. The house I used to call ours. She sniffled and her eyes were bloodshot as Jia held Brooklyn safely in her arms.

"Come this way" Jia spoke up. Their voices were completely audible in the silence of the night. I watched her stood frozen in her tracks, from the bedroom door that was opened from where I sat. She mumbled something that I couldn't hear but it was replaced with Jia's voice.

"He's asleep. He doesn't know, don't worry Jade"

Jia led her towards the guest room as I sighed and laid back on my bed. So close yet so far. She was in my house. She was just a few rooms away yet we're not on the terms of talking in a way I want. She's away from Alex, she's closer to me. I just hope she chooses to trust me from now on.

"Harry?" I heard Jia call from my door. I hummed in repose and she spoke up.

"She's really frustrated. Brooklyn's crying and I need to go get a feeder and diapers for him from 7-11. I'll be back" she said.

I nodded and with that she left. I had to go see Jade. I swiftly got up and slowly walked towards the guest room. I could already hear her sobbing. I opened the door to reveal her backside facing me. Brooklyn was laid next to her crying but she wasn't fazed at all. A frown found its way on my face immediately at the sight. What surprised me next was that she wriggled the engagement ring on her finger and took it off before throwing it on the the ground. I saw it roll around before it fell flat on its side. The diamond clearly showing the wealth Alex had been showering in. I couldn't keep my eyes off the ring. It reminded me so much of a ring that meant way more than what is lying in front of me. The ring that lies in my bedside table drawer safely.

She placed her hands on her face and cried even more. I dared not talking to her at this point though my heart died at the fact that I should go and hug her, be the support she needs at this point. I sighed before walking towards the bed and picking up Brooklyn in my arms to calm him down. At the moment, she looked up and gasped. Her eyes completely showing a broken story. She was a mess. I couldn't see her in this state. She immediately got up and looked down before reaching for Brooklyn but I stopped her.

"Jia's gone to get some stuff for him. Take some rest, I'll take care of him" I said. She was hesitant.

"I can take care of him, by myself" she whispered.

"I said, take some rest" I told her sternly.

She looked at me for a second before nodding. With that I brought Brooklyn out of the guest room and carried him to my room. I wasn't ready to bring him to the nursery just yet. I placed him on my bed and hovered over him before caressing his cheeks. He looked at me curiously with his striking blue eyes. They were a contrast to mine and Jade's eyes. They must be like his father's. His hair resembled Jade's. A beautiful chestnut brown. I smiled at something that resembled to mine even though I'm nothing but just an uncle to him.

"If I could fly, I'd be coming right back home to you" I started singing to him. A song that meant so much to me. A song that I repeat over and over again.

"I think I might... give up everything just ask me to..."

I was lost in my own thoughts when I finished the song only to look over at Brooklyn to find him fast asleep.

"Thank you" a voice made me snap my attention towards the door. Jade. She was leaning on the door frame with her arms crossed. Her eyes still bloodshot yet no tears. Her face held no emotions.

"You're welcome" I replied. "Always"

"I'll take him back to the guest room" she said starting to walk towards the bed to pick Brooklyn up.

"Wait" I said and she stopped and looked at me. I reached for Brooklyn and carried him in my arms before motioning Jade to follow me. She raised her eyebrows but decided not to ask me anything.

I walked towards the nursery and at that point I heard a faint whisper coming from Jade.

"No..." Was what she managed to say.

I opened the door and walked inside. It looked exactly the same as the time Ivanna was going to be born. The maids regularly cleaned the room to keep it in good condition and here it was. I reached forward and placed Brooklyn in the pink and white crib.

I then looked back to find Jade in thought just looking at the room by the door. I reached forward for her hand making her gasp as I encouraged her to walk inside.

"It's alright.. It's just a room put to use" I said clearly hurting myself with my own words. It's a room worth much more than that but to keep Jade calm, this was my only sentence.

"Yeah" she said surprising me finally breaking the awkward silence.

"You know Jade. I never liked you crying" I said.

"And I never liked you liking something about me" she replied. Ouch.

"And do you think I liked you thinking you never liked me liking something about you?" I challenged her raising my brows. And finally with this, I got to hear her beautiful laugh. She laughed. Truly laughed making me grin. Even though she said something that hurt me, to hear her laugh, it didn't hurt anymore.

"Maybe pink will be his favorite color" I said after a while. She looked at me confused but when I pointed towards Brooklyn and the room, she realized only to smile even more.

"And finally, you're smiling" I said with a grin on my face.

And what she did in return, not only surprised me but also made me feel at ease. She leaned in towards me. Willingly. And to not waste any time, I sealed our lips. In the room of a child. The nursery, we had been the most excited about and felt the most love in.. During the past. I kind of like the past...
