*Gemma's P.O.V*
I paced around Harry's house endlessly waiting for either Harry or Jade to come back. Anxiousness was eating me alive. Harry just texted me saying Jade's happy with Alex?? And I've been calling Jade for the past hour with no response. Is she staying there? Did they get Brooklyn? How on earth is she happy with Alex? I tried calling Harry as well and it only went to voicemail.
Finally the door bell rang, making me rush to the door and opening it to reveal Jade. I gasped at the sight. Her eyes were bloodshot and she was uncontrollably sobbing. Her hair was a mess and there was no sign of Brooklyn nor Harry next to her.
"Jade, oh my goodness, tell me what happened!" I pulled her towards me, hugging her which only made her cry even more.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I attempted to get her speaking. I had so many questions running through my head and there was only one way to find out, Jade speaking.
"Come on, I'll get you some water" I said as she wiped her tears and followed me in, walking over to the couch and sitting down. I went to the kitchen and poured a glass of water and went back out, handing it to her. She mumbled a small thank you and drank the water, placing the empty glass on the coffee table.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked her again, this time she nodded.
"Alex... he's not letting me see Brooklyn," she mumbled.
"I made a huge mistake," she sniffled, wiping her tears with a tissue paper.
"Alex accused me of having an affair with Harry behind his back since he still considers me as his fiancé. I lied to him telling him Harry didn't do anything at all for Brooklyn and I..." she spoke up.
"And when Harry heard it, he left Alex and I there right away... he didn't look back. I called out for him but he left in his car. And Alex watched the whole time. He said he'll never accept me and he's keeping Brooklyn since he thinks I'm in love with Harry," she sobbed placing her hands on her face. I felt so confused at this moment.
"Jade, look at me," I told her. She listened and looked at me. I could see her eyes completely dull.
"It must've hurt Harry because of a simple reason" I said.
"He still loves you. And by you indirectly saying that you have no association with him, you automatically shattered him," I said the truth. She needs to know now or never.
"Jade, he still loves you. You have no idea how he's living without having you in his life like he did 6 years ago. Till this day, he loves you just as much as he did back then when you left him at the airport. He was devastated when he found out you had moved on and that's what made me furious. I'm sorry for when I got so mad at you, the first time I met you and Alex. But now that I think about it, it was for a good reason. Alex deserves all the hurt and pain he bruised you with," Jade listened to me attentively with every word I spoke.
"Harry raised Brooklyn with you and you have no idea how much it pained him when you used to tell Brooklyn not to call Harry his father... Harry loved all the times you were happy with Brooklyn and all the times that you smiled. He still loves you, Jade. But he's afraid. I can see that, in his sister and I know him way much. I'm surprised you haven't picked up the hints, Jade. You've spent majority of your life with him. You should've known him by heart now. He thinks you don't love him anymore. That you don't want to be involved with him. That you still want to go back to Alex. Jade, do you even realize why he hired Jia? Hell, he cried every time Jia would tell him that Alex had hit you during the day. He completely quieted down when he found out you were pregnant with Alex's child. He always thought about Ivanna and how he wanted to have a child with you. He stopped talking for days when he was accepting the fact that your first child won't be with him. But, you saw, he finally accepted that your happiness is his happiness and if Brooklyn makes you the happiest, then he will make Brooklyn happy. He accepted Brooklyn as his own little boy, Jade..." I finally said every word I had to.
