"Cassius....Clay?", I asked
"The one and only, in the living flesh", he said with a big smile.
I couldn't help but to give him the biggest hug as my eyes filled with tears.
"Cassius I've missed you so much"
"I've missed you too NJ", he said gripping me tightly.
"And Eddy, you're here too", I said hugging him.
"Oh come on Norma Jeane you know we always do stuff together", he said as I gave him a hug too.
"I should've expected that", I said as I wiped my tears.
"Well NJ how've ya been, seems like you've forgotten all about little ole Cassius"
"Forget you, never"
"Oh yea, then prove it. How about the four of us go on a little date tomorrow night ? Let's say, dinner and a movie "
"Oh Mr. Cassius, we would be delighted but seeing as though we have boyfriends, I don't think.....", Amanda said before being interrupted
"Woah, woah, woah now, calm down sweetheart. This is just two old friends catching up while another friend keeps you entertained.", he continued
"Plus my brother Eddy here will treat you with nothin but respect, you'll have the time of ya life..... So, what do ya say"
"I suppose...if it's a friendly event...then sure why not", she said with a smile.
"Alright then, we'll pick you two ladies up at at 5:30 at the candy store."
"Candy store?", I asked
"Yea, remember, the one me and Eddy got beat up by"
"That candy store, how could I forget"
"That's alright, when we get together, you'll remember everyth....", Cassius said before getting cut off
"Hey suger blossom", James said sneaking up behind me.
"Well I suppose this is the almighty boyfriend I've heard so much about", Cassius said as he stuck out his hand before continuing, "Cassius Clay, and you"
James looked at Cassius while he kissed my cheek.
"I believe you already said my title", he replied
"Well now, I suppose most of all you crackas have that angry gene huh", he said laughing
"How bout y'all gone on home"
Eddy took a step forward to James before Cassius put his arm out in front of him. He gave him this look while he pushed he's teeth together showing his strong jawline, which Eddy took in response to calm down.
"With pleasure ", he replied
"I'll see you real soon NJ", he continued with a slight smile and a wink.
"NJ?" , James asked
"Stands for Norma Jeane", he replied
"Check it out, when a tar kid actually tries to make sense out of what he's saying ", James said as he laughed.
"James !", I yelled as I pushed him off me
