"So all we need now is Ramen" Kagome thought out loud scanning the shopping list in her hand "Let's go Inu-" She turned to find no one behind her. Kagome sweat dropped. Anxiety building up inside her. 'oh no,' She thought and began to search for her hanyou companion who accompanied her here.
Six months ago, Kagome was pulled into the quest to find the shards of Shikon no Tama, when a demon centipede pulled their into the Bone Eaters well that took her 500 years into the past where the Shikon jewel was clawed out of her body by the centipede demon. That's when she met Inuyasha. Kagome accidentally shattered the Jewel while trying to get it back from a Crow demon and ever since then she's been on a quest to bring them together and took up the secret career of a time traveller. Sure it isn't easy! Going back and forth between time and trying to catch up with everything. And it gets harder when you are a student having to deal with studies, as if demons weren't enough in the past. But she is trying.
'Inuyasha! Where are you?' Her mind screamed. She turned around a corner only to find him staring at a girl. Kagome sighed in relief.
"You need something?" The girl asked Inuyasha, who increased the intensity of his gaze, if that was even possible. He somewhat narrowed his eyes.
"Inuyasha?" Kagome called for him but he didn't respond to her call. He continued to stare at the stranger.
Kagome looked at the girl. She had a neck length silver hair and amber eyes. She wore a uniform Kagome recognized to be of a very prestigious highschool, Shiko Academy.
She wore a dark red vest with the school's crest on the left. Her vest's long sleeves were folded neatly with ruffles on the edges. She wore two white ribbons, one of which had a small red ribbon in the middle. Her dark puffy brown skirt consisted of many ruffled layers which reached her mid thighs and she wore a dark red thigh-highs and brown shoes. Kagome secretly admired her appearance and her stomach twisted when Inuyasha was staring at her. The girl was staring awkwardly back at him. Some other girls, wearing similar uniforms to that of the silver haired girl, standing some feet away, too were witnessing the staring contest."Umm," The silver haired girl under Inuyasha's intense gaze tried to speak up. Kagome ran up to them and kept her hands on his shoulder. "Inu-Inuyasha?"
The girl turned to her friends for help but all the did was shrug.
'Hopeless' she mentally sighed. "May I help you, sir?" She politely asked Inuyasha, ignoring the fact that he was beginning to irritate her. 'cuz let's be real for a sec. staring is rude!
"Your smell" He finally said.
'Whaaaa?' She mentally screamed. She sweat dropped "I'm sorry I can't figure out what you mean" She forcefully smiled. She wanted to get out of his gaze as soon as possible. His presence was stirring up many long forgotten emotions she buried a very long time ago.
She moved her gaze from him to Kagome. Her eyes as if asking for help. Kagome was quick enough to catch it and nodded.
"Inuyasha let's get some ramen and leave. We are getting late already" She more like commanded.
Inuyasha caught the hidden warning in her tone and stood straight, slipping his hands under his kimono. Kagome began to walk and Inuyasha followed with one last look at her.
"Sky, let's go or we will miss our ride back home" One of her friends said. The silver haired girl, Skylar, nodded in agreement.
"Seesh, Inuyasha, you don't go staring people like that, its rude you know" Kagome scolded as she paid for her things and left the mall. She took the path to return back to her family shrine.
"I didn't mean to be rude, okay!" Inuyasha defended himself "It's just that, I felt something strange about her smell"
Kagome thought about it for a minute, "But still it was rude to stare" She finished as they reached the shrine steps.※※※※※※※※※※※※※
