My Feudal Era Fairytale

Sky knocked the door of the Higurashi residence. She hoped Kagome was at home and not back to feudal era. Mrs Higurashi welcomed her in.

"I was wondering if Kagome's home"she politely asked.

"She is, dear. I'll call her"
Mrs Higurashi left her in the drawing room to get her daughter.
Sky sat to herself for a while, lost in thoughts until familiar rude voice disturbed her train of thoughts.

"You again" Inuyasha accusingly jumped in front of her. "Why are you here?"

"None of your business" Sky crossed her arms and stared back at him.

His dog ears flinched with irritation. In time Kagome entered the room.

"Oh hey, Sky!" She greeted "How are you feeling?"

"Good."

Kagome sat beside her, a gentle smile, identical to her mother's, graced her lips "You wanted to see me?"

"Yeah!" Sky answered "I wanted to ask if I can join you guys on your quest in the feudal era"

"No way!" Inuyasha butt in "too dangerous for you to handle. You are not going to come. I won't allow it"

"Whether you allow it or not. I don't care" Sky firmly replied "I'm just asking to join in because you all are familiar with the place."

"But why do you want to come?" Kagomi asked.

"Well you see, you can cross through the bone eaters well because you have a purpose with the Shikon jewel."

Kagomi carefully registered what the girl in front was trying to point out.

"I assume you won't be able to cross if you don't have a jewel shard. But I can. And that clearly suggest that I have a propose there as well"

"Oh, I see"

"Purpose or whatever. I won't take you" Inuyasha interrupted, again.

Sky stood up tall, to show her dominance, and Inuyasha did the same. Both looked at each other as if challenging one another.

"I won't allow it." Inuyasha stubbornly stated.

"You are not my dad. So quit ordering me!" Sky countered "I'll go there anyway. With or without you"
With that being her last word she left.

"Man, she's as stubborn as you" Kagome said after the girl had left "If I didn't know better, I'd have taken her for your sister!" She admitted.

"Feh!" Inuyasha grunted.

"Just and extra pair of clothes. A pocket knife, torch, some snacks and I'm done!" Skylar packed her bagpack for her 'mission' to the feudal era. Kagome called her yesterday to tell her that she would be happy to let her join to the feudal era.

Sky climbed up the many stairs of the Higurahi shrine. As she got at the top she noticed Inuyasha standing in front of the sacred tree. He looked as if lost in thought. Sky silently joined him and looked at the tall old tree.
There was silence between them both.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome called as she came into the area. "Oh, hey Sky!"

Sky turned to greet her back. It took her by surprise as to how big Kagome's yellow backpack was.

"Ok, we're ready to go!" Kagome enthusiastically cheered as they stood inside the shed.

Inuyasha was the first one to jump in and Kagome jumped in next. Sky took a deep breath and looked into the dark pit of the well. A flash of her younger self sobbing inside the well came to her which she quickly dismissed it. She hopped right in and the blue light ingulfed her and the next thing she knew was landing in the well with the blue sky above.
She got out of the well to see the group standing ahead with smiling faces. Inuyasha the only one sulking.

Shippo jumped off Miroku's shoulder and went straight to her. "Hey Sky, it's so good to see you back" the little kit climbed up her shoulder "You got a treat for me?" He gave a boyish smile.

"Sure do, Shippo" She pulled out a chocolate candy out of her pocket and handed him. He excitedly took it and began to eat.

"Nice to have you among us, Lady Skylar" Miroku bowed and welcomed her.

'So this is it' Sky thought 'the beginning of a long lost adventure'. She smiled to herself as she followed the team with Sango burning in anger due to a certain lecherous monk and Kagome and Inuyasha arguing about god knows what. Shippo hopped on to her shoulder "Man, are they one loud qurreling bunch or what?" He commented.

Sky couldn't help but laugh. "Well you are a part of it as well".
