"What are we going to do?" Kunot-noong tanong ko kay Selene, staring straight at her purple eyes as we made our way back to our classroom. "Should we tell him everything already?"
"No, not yet." Agarang sagot niya't seryoso akong hinarap. "We must make sure if he really is the Earth Protector, we must observe him first."
"Ok," Sabi ko't muling hinarap si Selene. "But, how are we going to do that? I mean, how can we make sure that he really is the Earth Protector?"
"Then we must find the pearl, duh." Mataray na sagot ng isang maliit na boses as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
Heather, wearing tiny sparkling clothes with a size of a bee was shooting daggers at me as she said, "You rude protector! I'm a fairy, not a bee!"
"Stop it," Pag-irap ni Selene sabay tinapunan kami ng masamang tingin. "You're both not helping here."
"Sorry," Sabay na sagot namin ni Heather, dahilan para magkatinginan kaming dalawa kasabay ng pagsigaw niya.
"Stop copying me!"
"Heather," Walang emosyong sabi ni Selene kasabay ng pagngiti ni Heather ng alanganin.
"Joke lang!" Sagot nito't muling naglaho upang magtago sa balikat ni Selene.
"So, all of us has a pearl?" Kunot-noong tanong ko kay Selene nang maalala ang sinabi niya.
"Basically," Aniya't inirapan ako. Selene's signature mark. "All of you, Protectors has a pearl. The Fire Protector has the Fire Ember, the Earth Protector has the Earth Emerald while the Air Protector has the Air Diamond and lastly, the Water Protector has the Water Sapphire."
"And all of us has dragons? I mean, guardians?"
"Obviously," Mataray na sagot niya't inirapan muling ako, her purple eyes showing irritation. "Your pearl determines the guardians you will have, they will save you in times of trouble and they will guide you in handling your powers."
"Aww," Napapahawak sa ulo na sabi ko, nanghihinang umupo sa upuan ko't sinabing, "Too much information." All of this is much more difficult than Math.
"I feel you, Zion." Biglang sabi ni Kc mula sa likod nang makita akong hawak-hawak ang ulo ko. "I know how it feels. How that feels." Aniya't nakasimangot na itinuro ang discussion sa harapan. Mathematics.
"Kain na lang tayo bess," Nakangusong sabi ni Marielle sabay subo sa nakatagong chocolate sa ilalim ng desk niya. "Food is much more better than Math."
"Nasaan ang hustisya?" Pagdadrama naman ni Nicole sabay untog ng ulo niya sa desk. "Kung pagnanakaw nga nakukulong, bakit ang Math hindi? Grabeng torture ito!"
"Shut up," Inis namang sabi ni Alex na 'tila nagulo sa pagtulog niya. Yep, she's just sleeping the whole day. "I'm sleeping here."
"Friends," Sabi naman ni Jonalyn sabay maluha-luha ang mga matang hinawakan sa balikat ang mga katropa niya. "Pasabi na lang sa mga magulong ko na mahal ko sila, pasuntok na din si crush para sa akin. Shet, di ko na kaya ito!" Aniya't nahimatay na sa kaniyang upuan.
