"Hello there beautiful creature," A sweet voice said sounding like an angel in my ear, resting her head on her arms as she stared at me. "You're sleeping again."
I slightly smiled while hearing her simple thoughts, I wanted so bad to open my eyes and to finally see her beautiful face but I don't want to scare her away so I continued to pretend to be asleep.
"You look so peaceful while sleeping," She said, her voice was so sweet and calm as her soft hands reached for my eyes down to my nose and finally, my lips.
"So peaceful that I wonder if you ever have nightmares like me," She said, not lifting her finger off me as she move closer to me and whispered sweet incoherent words. "I once was lost but now I'm found, and it's beautiful."
My brows furrowed, confusion and curiosity written on my face as I tried to open my eyes and felt something soft pressing on my temple.
"Sleep well," She said softly as she slowly move away from me. "My beautiful creature."
"Zion!" Malakas na sigaw ni Caleb, making me look at his direction and bringing me back to reality as a hard ball hit my head. "A-ah, may bola?"
Malakas akong bumagsak sa sahig, feeling groggy and so dizzy that I almost thought I was seeing blue birds chirping in front of me.
Aww, bulong ko habang minamasahe ang ulo ko. My head hurts so bad.
"You ok, dude?" Tanong ni Caleb, lifting me up from my misery as he offered his hand to me. "Well, you don't look fine to me. Look, you just got a jackpot!" Aniya't pinindot-pindot pa ang bukol ko sa noo. Aww, that hurts! "You're lucky the ball didn't hit your eye or else, you'll get a black eye and not a black forehead--Aww!"
"Was there even a thing called black forehead?" Nakasimangot na sabi ko matapos siyang batukan. "Crazy guy."
Inalalayan ako ni Caleb sa pagtayo, tinulungan akong makalakad ng maayos kahit paika-ika at sa awa ng Diyos ay hindi ako bumangga sa pader 'kung hindi, madadagdagan nanaman ang bukol ko sa noo. My poor head.
"Stupid," Someone said from behind me, making me look at Selene who was throwing daggers at me as she stared at me with her sharp purple eyes. "Who in their right minds would spike a ball using their head?" Aniya't inirapan ako. Selene's signature move.
Palihim na lamang akong napangiti sa katarayan ni Selene, I don't know why instead of being afraid of her sudden temper I find everything about her so adorable.
Her raised eyebrows, lovely purple eyes that was almost bombing fires at me and her pursed lips that was so red like a rose.
She was so perfect, I said as I stared at her purple eyes. She is indeed a Goddess.
"Dude," Maktol ni Caleb, brows furrowed as his hazel eyes pleadingly looked at me when he said, "Hindi ka magaan kaya utang na loob, umalis na tayo."
Napakurap ako sa sinabi ni Caleb, shocked and confusion registered on my face as I realized he was still holding me.
Damn, I'm spacing out.
"Sige na, Zion." Sabi ni Selene, irritation vanishing from her face as a smile slowly crept on her lips. "Go and end Caleb's misery." Aniya't umalis na para maglaro.
Napailing ako, shaking my head as I tried to erase my confusing thoughts.
"Someone got his eyes on the girl with purple ones," Kanta ni Caleb habang inaalalayan akong makaupo sa bleachers, his hazel eyes showing naughtiness as his brows moved up and down. "Oh, this is love."
"Shut up," I said, suddenly sounding like Selene which made Caleb's grin wider. "Oh, whatever."
"Too bad it's illegal," Aniya't umupo sa tabi ko. "You know, Gods having a romantic thing with mortals."
"What?" Sabi ko't napakunot ng noo. What the hell is this guy saying? "And where did you heard that?"
"Didn't you know?" Aniya't napakunot ng noo habang diretsong nakatingin sa court 'kung saan naghahanda ang mga babae sa paglaro ng volleyball along with Selene, Amara, Belle and the others. "It was Olympus' Golden Rule." Sabi niya't hinarap ako.
"A mortal is only for a mortal and a God is only for a God."
Natahimik ako, suddenly felt my world spinning as Selene throw her first spike.
"Zeus doesn't want the Gods to have any form of contact with mortals, he believed that it will only cause a complete chaos to both Gods and mortals most especially if Gods are slowly turning into human. This chaos will lead for the Pyramid Tree to lose it's balance." Dagdag pa niya't katulad ko ay pinanood ang mga babaeng maglaro ng volleyball. "I'm so sorry man but, Selene's world is different from yours."
"Forever is a blur for the two of you."
Napayuko ako dahil sa sinabi niya, can't explain the painful throbbing of my heart as if it was slowly breaking into pieces the moment I heard everything Caleb said.
What's happening to me? I said as I stared at Selene who was now serving the ball. It's not like I'm feeling anything for her, right?
"Amara!" Malakas na sigawan ng mga tao, pointing at Amara who was just standing at the other side of the court, not even blinking, just looking straight with empty eyes as the ball slowly approached her. "Yung bola!"
Agad akong napalingon sa court, shocked and confusion registered on my face as I saw Selene's serving ball almost making it's way to Amara's face.
What is she doing? I said as I looked at Selene who was just looking at Amara as if expecting something to happen. Is she trying to get herself into trouble?
Napanganga na lamang ako't biglang napatayo sa kinauupuan ko nang makarating na ang bola sa harapan ni Amara.
I was already expecting her cruel fate but, I found myself looking at Amara with wide eyes as she quickly dodge the ball and spike it so hard like a thunderbolt, creating a large hole on the center of the volleyball net.
What the hell just happened? I said as I stared at Selene's purple eyes who has a satisfied look on her face. Was she planning everything from the start?
I turn my glance to Amara who's eyes are expressionless as ever.
What is happening here?
