Long brown hair, soft rosy lips, pink blushing cheeks, I whispered as I pictured the beautiful girl in my dream.
I remembered the way she touch me that it felt so real even though it was all just a dream.
Just a dream.
"Zion Pierce," Tawag ni Ms. Taal sa akin, her sharp eyes directly stared at me as she called my name.
Agad akong napatayo, completely brought back to reality as I rose from my seat and said, "Present Ma'am!"
Laughter filled the room, everyone's eyes are on me as they looked at me as if I'm the most--
"Stupid," Selene mumbled from behind me, adding the perfect word to my sentence. Yep, the most stupid person in the world.
"Mr. Pierce," Ms. Taal said, sighing as she glanced at me through her glasses. "I said, it's already your turn."
My brows furrowed from what she said, completely confused and puzzled from everything that's happening as Caleb patted my shoulder and whispered, "The stage is all yours, dude."
Napakunot-noo ako, can't understand what he's saying as he pushed me forward to face everyone.
Napalunok ako, don't know what I'm supposed to do as everyone looked at me with curious eyes, as if expecting something to happen.
Damn, I mumbled as I smiled at them. I don't know what to do. If I was only listening to Ms. Taal's announcement earlier.
"Zion?" Ms. Taal said, raising her eyebrows as she called my name. "Well?"
Napalunok ako, muli silang hinarap sabay sinabing, "Ah, h-hi?"
Napuno muli ng tawanan ang classroom, 'tila nanonood sila ng isang comedy film at ako ang bida.
So, I'm not just plainly stupid. I am also a clown now.
"Zion," I heard Selene calling me, making me look at her way as she continued to speak through my mind. "Sing."
What? Gulat na sabi ko, puzzled and confused from what she said. Sing? Why do I need to sing in a History class?
Napalingon ako sa kanilang lahat, their eyes were fixed on me and are still expecting something to happen, probably waiting for me to sing.
Napalunok ako, nagpakawala ng malalalim na hininga't sinabing, here goes nothing.
"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand," The room fell silent when I started singing, it felt like I was all alone as I closed my eyes and all I can hear is my fast hear beat and singing voice. "But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man. These nights never seem to go to plan. I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?"
"Oh, won't you stay with me? 'Cause you're all I need. This ain't love, it's clear to see." I slowly opened my eyes and the moment I can already see clearly, it was Selene's lovely purple eyes I saw as I sang the song's last words. "But darling, stay with me."
