7 years after.

Justin.

"Justin, stop." I didn't listen to her. Her sweet and innocent giggles are ringing in my ears. Ahh, pure eargasm. I continued to tickle her until she fell off the couch.

"Ash, you okay?" She rolled her eyes as if she's telling me it's the most obvious thing in the world. I chuckled at her actions and helped her get up.

We walked to the kitchen and saw a sight which is very appealing to the eyes.

"Hey mum! What are you making?" I made my way to my mum, Pattie, and kissed her on the cheek hoping she'll give me something because it smells darn good.

So, you see. Since Ashley and her mom moved to Stratford, they've been spending a lot of time with us knowing we are next door neighbors and Ashley and I are best friends.

We still spend a lot of time together. Everyone mistakes us of being in a relationship but no, we are just best friends. Yes, just best friends.

"Uh-uh. I know what are you trying to do, mister. Let's wait till Brenda comes home so we can all enjoy the food I prepared." I did the best puppy dog face but my mum didn't budge in.

Where is Brenda anyways? Oh, I remember Ash told me she went out to run errands so Ashley is stuck with us. Not that I'm complaining though. I actually like Ashley's company.

Are you actually hearing yourself, Justin Drew Bieber? You sound like a love sick teenager.

Oh, shut it you brain.

"Ha! In your face, Bieber!"Ash shouted and at the same time laughed too damn hard.

"What's so funny, Monroe? Do you want a tickle fight again?" She looked ghastly and ran away from me like she saw a ghost or something.

A ghost with a pretty face, that is.

Justin, FOCUS!

I smirked and chased her. I could hear my mum shouting faint words like 'Kids, no running in the house.' or something like that but we didn't care.

"I'm hom- Ashley & Justin, what are you doing?!" Brenda, Ashley's mother, exclaimed as she saw her daughter running as fast as she could and hid at the back of the couch.

"Oh, they were just messin' around. Kids, dinner's ready!" We hurriedly washed our hands, went to our seats, said grace and ate.

Yes, we were hungry. Obviously.

Mum cooked burgers which were absolutely divine that until

"Eck, what is this green stuff?" Both Ashley and I stared at it with pure disgust evident on our faces.

"That is pickles, honey. You should try it. It's good." Mum said with a straight face.

I shoved part of it on my mouth, as Ashley did the same thing, and raced to the sink to empty the content that is on our mouths. It is that disgusting, I tell you.

"These kids are always together. Wherever, whenever. I can picture them growing old together with a few children of their own. I could see them growing old happily." I could hear Brenda talking to my mum. Not that I am eavesdropping but their voices can be heard, you know.

Again with this matter. Seriously, they'll never get tired of talking about this. They've been talking about it since Ash and I became best friends.

After puking our hearts out, we silently took our seats and continued to eat.

It was really awkward after hearing the talk between mum and Brenda and to add off, the silence is eerie.

"So, Justin and Ashley. Do you two like each other?" My mum asked us beaming at Brenda.

Ashley and I shared a look and acted suprised. Of all the things to be talked about, why this? We could've talked about something else but no. Mum opened up this topic. Way to go, mum!

This is going to be one heck of a dinner.
