Here's chapter 23 :)

Ashley.

"So, where are you taking me?" I asked for the third time but Tyler wouldn't budge in.

"It wouldn't be a surprise if I am going to tell you, right?" He glanced and smiled at me faintly then continued to focus his eyes on the road.

"You are not going to kidnap me and make me your slave, are you?" His deep laughter filled the entire car. I was half serious about it though. I'm afraid something might happen.

"As much as I want to, you know I won't." He playfully winked at me, earning him a smack in the arm. We both laughed at each other then it went silent again.

He pulled up at some deserted place and let me tell you, I was really terrified. He might not be joking about the whole slave thing.

Oh, Ashley get a grip. You know he is kidding.

"I know you are scared. I can feel it, you are shivering but please, trust me, alright?" He gave me an assuring smile. He intertwined his hands with mine. With that, I felt safe.

We walked through a rocky path which he clearly knows all about. We managed to dodge a couple trees until we reached our destination.

It was breathtaking. I couldn't even bring myself to words. It was beautiful.

"I figured you'd like it." Tyler said as he wrapped an arm on my shoulders. We looked at the view for a while when suddenly he took out a picnic basket, out of nowhere. I don't know where did he put it, and pulled out a picnic blanket and something to eat and drink.

After we ate the sandwiches made by Tyler, which was divine by the way, we laid on the sand and stared at the stars.

I suddenly felt like we were Hazel and Gus from the Fault in our Stars.

He stood up and grabbed his phone and played a slow song and then offered my hand.

We slow danced to Make it to Me by Sam Smith as the waves were crashing behind us.

I laid my head on his shoulders and continued to sway to the song. As we were dancing, I heard Tyler sang softly with the song, meaning every word he's saying.

After the song has ended, he pulled away and looked at me weirdly. He then broke into a grin.

"I know you girls want a guy who would go all extravagant for you. Someone who'll publicize the way he courts you but I am not that kind of guy. I wanted it to be special. I hope this is special for you, Ash. Will you be my girlfriend?" He then handed me a bouquet of white roses, which were my absolute favorite.

"This is more than special, Tyler. Thank you and no." He was shocked at what I had said. He looked down and I could tell he was disppointed.

I went behind him and hugged him from behind and whispered,

"There's no way on earth I'd say no, Ty." He turned and faced me with a smile on his face and kissed my temple.

I was now Tyler McDonough's girlfriend.

He is my boyfriend.

I couldn't be happier.
