Chapter 14 - All Around The World

Justin.

I was nervous. I'm in Stratford, playing for thousands of people. Althought I have played on bigger venues before, I have never been this nervous in my entire career.

It's been a couple of years, 7 years to be exact. I could still remember when I was 12, I used to play in the steps of this theatre for a fortune. People would stop by and listen to me sing. I was a kid who had a dream back then. Now, I am living that dream.

Standing in the Avon Theatre after all those years makes me nostalgic. This is my roots-it's where I come from. I have every right to be nervous. People who first believed in me are here to cheer and have a good time. I don't want to disappoint them.

"Justin, 2 minutes til showtime." Allison, my road manager, informed me. This is nerve-wracking. I can do this. I can do this.

I hurriedly went out of the dressing room and put on the biggest smile I could. Me and my crew huddled up as I did a little prayer.

Almighty Father,

Thank you for this opportunity.

Thank you for the people outside.

Thank you for the talents you have given me.

Thank you for the people who have made this possible.

Thank you for bringing me back to where I came from.

Thank you for everything, Lord.

I am so grateful.

We all together said Amen. Guess this means it's now or never.

I stepped on the pedestal that would take me up the stage. Standing here, I could hear people screaming. Mostly girls. I still really couldn't believe many people love me and support me despite all the rumours.

The band started playing the song All Around The World. This was my cue. I adjusted the wings that were strapped onto me to add more effects to the presentation.

I flew to the stage and performed my heart out.

I did a little dance after that line and I could clearly hear people screaming for love and see them holding signs like 'Justin, Marry me.', 'Justin you are sexy' and such. I smiled. It makes me happy seeing my Beliebers like that.

I continued to sing and dance through the second verse and back to the chorus. When it reached the bridge part of the song, I called Ludacris out to do his rap thing.

I sang with Luda throughout the chorus and danced too. We looked like we were having a good time and we were. A great way to kick start the show.

Seeing the crowd made my nerves go away. It's a relief people are enjoying this early on the show.

I love the stage.

It is indeed where I belong.
