I, again, was clueless as to what to do. I sat alone at the computer, looking through photos, before finally turning it off and going to sleep. I had no clue what to do.

The next morning, I woke up and grabbed my phone to check ti as usual.

It was already 11:30. I ignored the fact that my mom had let me sleep in, or that I didn't have any texts from Maddie, Kenzie, Melissa, or my mother. Insteas, I did have a text from Abby.

Abby- Hey Kendall K! I heard you are starting Matilda rehearsals soon, good luck! kisses!

I was ecstatic that Abby had thought to text me, usually she wasn't always the thoughtful type. And rehearsals were starting soon, it was already Tuesday, which left three days to waste in the city until my life finally kick-started. I scrolled through instagram, twitter, the usual, before getting out of bed and checking on my mom. She wasn't in her bed asleep like usual.

I knocked on the Ziegler's door, with no reply, so I shot a text to Maddie.

Kendall- Hey madz where r u guys?

I looked around for a note, and found one on the kitchen counter.

"Kendall-

We went to get breakfast in the lounge. Meet us up there when you wake up.

Mom, 11:15"

Oh, so they had left me here. They had only been gone for 15 minutes, so I threw on some sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and threw my hair into a bun before running upstairs to the lounge to meet the for breakfast.

Up there, Maddie, Kenzie, Melissa, and Mom sat at a table eating. I gathered some food before sitting down. Trying to stay healthy, because all we ever did was eat out, I grabbed some peaches, milk, and scrambled eggs. I went and sat down at the table, and said good morning to everyone. Looking at everyone, they were all on their phones.

Including Maddie.

"Hey, I texted you Maddie. Did you get it? It was earlier, i was just asking where you all were." I asked, not trying to sound upset or accusational.

"Nope, i didn't get anything." Maddie said carelessly, not even looking up from her phone.

Well that was suspicious.

Anyways, we knew this was Maddie's last day in the city. Our moms had finalized plans, we would stay permanently in our hotel rooms, and move up here. They became apartments for those who needed to stay for long periods of time. Maddie would go home with Melissa tonight, and we would keep Kenzie. Melissa would then come back up tomorrow morning, bringing up more bags of clothes and things that she and my mom had pre-packed incase we had to stay. Maddie would move back in with Greg, and would start going to dance again. Maddie was the only one who was going to be there consistantly though. Everyone else's auditions and interviews started up next week, where as Maddie's only other audition wasn't until next month.

Although I still felt bad for Maddie, I was also upset because she wasn't talking to me or hanging out with me like she wasn't going to see me in a month, which was true. I longed for her to reach out to me, but I felt like if I reached out for her, she was ready to bite. Instead, I ignored the feelings, and went on.
