Chapter 34: Last Conversation

That night, Drew called me. He kept saying sorry. Kung hindi dahil sa jokes niya, edi sana hindi ganoon ang naging hantungan.

"Don't blame yourself. Please. I already feel bad." Sabi ko.

He sighed through the phone. "This is probably going to be the last conversation we'll ever have huh?"

My heart clenched in pain."Ayoko pumili Drew. Ayoko." My voice cracked.

"What choice do we have?" He laughed sadly.

I frowned. "Sandali. Mom is on the other line. I'll call you later Allie."

"Okay."

Minutes passed and I wondered what they were talking about. Does it concern Alex? I waited.

Pagkatunog ng telepono ko, agad kong sinagot. Drew spoke and he sounded troubled.

"Anong nangyari?" Pinagsisihan kong tinanong.

"Di pa nakakauwi si Alex."

I panicked. "Madaling araw na Drew!"

"I think I know where he is." He whispered.

"Where?" I demanded.

"Let me take care of this, Allie. Don't worry." He assured.

"Drew. Please gusto ko sumama."

"Hindi pwede. Let me do this alone. I also want to talk to him." He said in a final tone.

I sighed hopeless. "Mag iingat kayo Drew."

Alex's POV

Nagpakalasing ako. Hindi ko alam kung tanga ako o sadyang tanga talaga ako.

Nandun na yung chance ko! Pero wala. Natakot ako. Naduwag ako. Di ko alam kung ano o sino ang paniniwalaan ko.

Pero I know in my heart. Its Allison. I love her. Hindi ko lang alam kung paano intindihin lahat.

Ni isang beses, hindi ko siya napapatawa tulad ng nagagawa ni Drew.

Ni isang beses hindi ko man lang soya nakikitang masaya sakin.

I feel like I'm a nobody to her.

I drank a lot. This maybe the 12th shot? I'm not sure. But I really feel tipsy as I feel the liquid burn my throat.

May lumapit na babae sa akin. Yes, I'm in a bar. Madaming nagsasayawan. The music blasted I couldn't hear what the girl was saying. Then I spaced out.

One time nagsuntukan kami dito ni Drew dahil nagkainitan kami. But I always come here whenever I feel like it. And there are days we see each other here multiple times.

I chuckled at the thought. Its so good beating the shit out of him. The girl touched my arm I flinched. I forgot about her.

"Hi." She batted her eyelashes.

I sighed. Alam kong kailangan ko makalimot. But not this way. I'm not even interested.

"Fuck off." She huffed and stormed off.

Bahala na siya sa buhay niya.

I was about to take another glass. But someone beat me to it. I looked up to see no other than my so not brother.

"Uy!!! Drew!" I laughed bitterly.

Naglabas siya ng pera at binaba sa lamesa.

"Kapatid samahan moko. Maraming babae dito." I mocked.

He was always here to get girls. I smirked.

He didn't look happy. Napatawa ako. "Ano? Ayun o. Maganda yun!" Nagturo ako ng babae sa gilid."

"Tara uwi na. Lasing ka na." Hinawakan niya ko.

"Don't you dare touch me!" I yelled.

"Don't you dare..." nahilo ako bigla.

"Tara na. Nag aalala na sayo si Mom."

"Mom? Woooow. Mom." I laughed.

"At si Allison." He added.

My ears perked up at the sound of her name. "Yung babaeng inagaw mo sakin."

"Yung babaeng mahal na mahal ko?"

"Oo. Kaya tumayo ka na jan. Naghihintay siya."

I nodded and nodded and nodded. Nababaliw na ata ako. Naghihintay si Allie. Napangiti ako.

Tumayo ako pero bigla naman akong nahulog.

"Hays." Rinig kong angal ni Drew.

Nakalabas na kami. Madilim na ang daan. Walang masyadong tao. Naglakad kami papunta sa kotse niya. Medyo malayo sa bar dahil punuan sa parking lot.

Nang biglang may lumabas na grupo ng lalaki. Mga mukhang lasing din. They looked blurry in my sight. But I could sense something bad in here.

I counted. They were 8? 6? Ang bigat ng mata ko. Gusto ko bumagsak. I could hear laughter and chuckles. It gave me chills.

"Duru." I slurred calling his name.

"O?"

Pero di ko na alam ang sumunod doon. All I felt was that I hit the cold floor hard on my back and I groaned in pain.

I could hear grunts and laughter. All I could see was the dim lights and at the same time darkness. My eyes were heavy but I didn't wanna fall asleep.

I knew someone needed help.

I looked but it was really a blur. All I remember was seeing someone being stabbed and he fell on the ground. Then the sound of footsteps running away.

Then I fell asleep.
