Chapter 8: Dreams are also Nightmares.

I was literally frozen. Everything stopped. Pagod na pagod nako. Gusto ko ng tumakbo pero di ko kaya. Part of me wants to stay with him but there's also a part of me wants to run away. Di ko na alam.

Ang alam ko lang ay natatakot ako.

Natatakot akong malaman niya.

Pero I was too late.

"Allie." He called.

Napaatras ako. He reached for me but I ran away. Gusto ko ng umalis. Ayoko na. Di ko na kaya. Sana di nalang siya bumalik.

Sana may time machine..

Tears blurred my eyes. I can't see clearly. Napatigil nalang ako nung may napansin akong taong nakaharang. Kung hindi ako tumigil, siguradong nabangga ko na siya.

"Jana?"

Napatingin ako sa may boses and my blood boiled. Kasalanan niya rin 'to! Silang magkapatid! Dapat sa kanila magsama sa impyerno!

I tried to walk away but he grabbed my waist. "Silent treatment again?" He asked.

"I-I'm not in the mood." My voice broke.

He sighed. "I know."

I nodded. "Come with me. I want to show you something." He said.

I shook my head. "I told you, I'm not in the mood." I almost yelled.

"Don't you want to escape? Escape from this? Come on, it'll be worth it."

Escape?

I've always wanted that..

Well, you escaped once..

Escaped from your true self..

And look what it did. Look what happened..

I shook my head. Sana nashuhutdown tong utak ko. "No?" Tanong niya.

You'll be stupid then! You need me!

Di ko na pinansin yung utak ko. "No! I-I mean yes!" I smiled but failed.

He gave me a soft smile. "Come on. " yaya niya. "You'll love it."

Naglakad na kami palabas sa Campus at napansing di kami sasakay sa kotse niya. "Saan tayo pupunta?" Tanong ko.

"Its a surprise." He grinned.

"I hate surprises." I mumbled.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Just trust me, okay?"

Bigla akong napatigil sa pagchange ng boses niya. He sounded serious.
