4 - Sun Rise And Job Choosing

I wake up early the next morning.
When i look out of the bedroom window i don't see the sun. I just see a small light blue line on my left side. Its been a long time since i saw a sun rise... I think and with that thought i tip toe to my clothes and slip into my jeans and one of Tobias hoodies. I nestle my face in it and smile. My tobias. Before i leave i write tobias a quick note, informing him where i am.
At this early there are barely any people wondering the compound. I find my way to the roof top easily and climb the steep stairs. Only five minutes later i push open the door. Immediatly the first sun rais shine on my face and a smile spreads on my face. I close the door behind me - careful that it doesn't snap shut - and then sit down on the gravel. The sun is barely visiable on the horizon. Just a dark red sky and an orange red sun.

I lean back on my arms and just look at it. It slowly crawls its way up to create life supporting circumstances on earth.
I love this.
I just watch the spectacle for a few minutes while the sun rises higher and higher. When i just want to stand up and get back to Tobias apartment i hear the door opening behind me. I turn around and see Tobias. A smile settles on my face and i walk over to him. He wraps me in his arms and i burry my head in his chest. "Morning." He says and kisses the top of my head. "Morning." I say back. My voice muffled by his hoodie. We stand like that for a bit longer before my stomach growls really loud. I blush and feel how he starts laughing. I playfully punch his chest. "Don't laugh at me. I haven't eaton (<--) in one whole day." He kisses my forehead. "Okay then. Lets get you a muffin." I kiss his cheek and nod. "That would be amazing." He grins and takes my hand.
We arrive at the cafeteria and find us a seat. None of our friends are here but there are only about ten other people anyways.
I get myself a muffin and a bread from the middle of the table and bite into the muffin. I am tempted to let out a sigh but can hold me back. Tobias chuckles at my reaction to an ordanarly muffin and i fake glare at him.

Three hours later i walk into the cafeteria again. I went to the dormatory and got my few things while Tobias had to do something for his work. Also i met christina who nearly strangled me with her hug. Aparently tobias didn't tell them i was awake.

"What did i miss here?" I ask once we found our places in the crowd that slowly starts to become thicker. Chris eyes start to sparkle. "Shauna has a date!" I smile. "With Zeke? Its obvious that he likes her." Chris frowns. "No actually with a guy named Mark. Do you really think Zeke has a crush on her?" I nod. "Yeah. I thought it was the most obvious thing in the world." Chris shrugs. "Well okay. Poor zeke. But anyways Shauna will met him in the tattoo parlour and they started talking and then he invited her to dinner. That is so cool and romantic." Chris sighs. "Apropos tattoo parlour." I say and point to tori. "I'll be back in a minute." She just nods and starts searching Will in the mass. I tap toris shoulder. She turns around and innediatly a smile is on her face. "Tris! Good to see you. I wanted to congratulate you the whole time but the day before yesterday i was busy and yesterday you were no where to be found." I smile back. "Its no problem. I just had to do a lot of stuff yesterday. That kept me busy. Otherwise i would have come to your tattoo parlour." She seems to think about something before in the next second she hugs me. I hug her back and it feels comforting to hug her. Suddenly a loud screeching noise goes through the cafeteria. I cover my ears but then its already gone. "Okay everyone listen up." I hear erics voice from the stage. "Today our new members get to choose their jobs and get their assinged apartments. As ever i want to make this short so we will just start. Tris as the first ranked you have the right to choose first. Please come up here." I straighten my back and step on the podium to Max and Eric. There is a list with the jobs that are available. I look it through and find faction ambassodor. I write my name behind it while eric and max watch me closly. Then i suddenly also spot another job i find interesting. I smile to myself as i write my name behind it. "Okay. Next one Uriah. Please come up here." I step down and meet uri on the way down. He grins at me and we high five when we walk past each other. I stand next to Chris again. I feel a sting of disapointment when i look around but don't see Tobias anywhere. Where could he be? Why would he miss this important moment? I sigh and watch uri choose his job - policeman in the city. That means he will walk around the city, keep controll over the factionless but also protect the different faction members. Just when he steps down someone taps my shoulder. I turn around and stand face to face with tobias. He has a few pearly of sweat on his forehead and looks exhausted. "Sorry i missed your choosing i was in the pit and..." he trails off and grabs in his back pocket. He pulls out a small box. He smiles at me. "I bought you something." My anger is gone and a huge smile settles on my face. "You didn't have to..." He smiles at me and lays a hand on my cheek. "I didn't have to. But i wanted to. What did you choose?" I smile. "Faction ambassador and initiation instructor." He grins. "Mh did you want to spend some more time with me or what?" I laugh and he shortly presses his lips to mine before he pulls me out of the full cafeteria and into one of the emptier hallways.
He hands me the box and nestles with his hands nervously. I slowly flip it open. The charm inside reflects the light. I gasp and slowly trace the outerlines with my fingers. I look up at tobias with big eyes. He scratches his neck nervously. "Do you like it?" He asks and bites the inside of his cheek. I beam up at him. "I don't like it." I start. His face falls and he wants to talk but i shush him and continue, "Tobias i don't like it. I love it." I wrap my arms around his neck. "Thank you so much. This necklace is beautiful." He wraps his arms around me as well and kisses the top of my head. "I am glad you like it." I lean away a bit. "Could you..." i say and hold the necklace out for him. He smiles widely and i move my hair from my shoulder. He stands behind me and clips the necklace behind my neck. The small 4+6, engraved on a small silver plate hangs on the height of my collar bone. Tobias hands wrap around me from behind and he kisses my neck. I feel goose bumps creeping up my spine. His lips find their way along my neck and then he works his way up to my cheek. I just stand still and let him kiss me.
After a while he turns me around and presses his lips to mine. My right hand wanders to his hair and i let his soft hair flow through my fingers. He presses me against the wall and my fingers in his belt loops press him closer to me. My fingers slip under his shirt and i feel his warm soft skin under my finger tips. I press my hand over his spine and his hand squeezes my hip. "There there. I thought you were raised a stiff." I hear a vpice behind Tobias. He quickly pulls away and turns around. "Peter..." tobias snarls and glares at him. "Hello Four. Hello Tris. I guess i don't have to ask myself why i was ranked behind a stiff anymore. You know its kinda unfair why are you not gay four? Then i could have slept with you and been ranked first. What did Uriah do though? Mh maybe you are a bit gay after all. But-" "Shut up Peter." I spit and step forward. "I started my relationship after initiation." He rolls his eyes. "Of coooourse... that is the offical story. Is it the real one though?" "Just leave us alone!" I say and start to walk away. "You can't run away from this Tris. I will tell Eric about this." Tobias huffs. "He knows." Peters face twists but only for a second before his content smirk is back. "You two will see." And then he just disapears into a hallway. I look up at tobias but he just shrugs. "Let him talk." He wraps an arm around my shoulder. "I'll protect you." I smirk up at him. "Not like i need that though." I say. I flip my hair and push his arm down from my shoulder with two fingers. He starts laughing and his hands wrap around my hip from behind me. He easily picks me up and i screech and start to kick around. He laughs and throws me over his shoulder. "And who will protect you now trissy?" He asks. I just want to respond when suddenly two boys with chocolat colored skin jump out of the hallway. "We will! The pansyheros!" The pedrad brothers tackle Tobias to the ground and i fall on top of him. I sit down on his chest so he can't get up. "So i got someone to protect me. Who will protect you though." He laughs really hard and stars tickling me. I screech and jump up. Tobias jumps up as well. All four of us start laughing really hard. I high five uri and zeke. "Thanks guys." They laugh. "Yeah we heard you talking to four and then we decided to show four that you do have some people to protect you." I laugh even harder. Tobias wraps his arm around my shoulder again and this time i lean into him. "I know that." I whisper so only he can hear me. The pedrads are not paying attention anyway. Tobias quickly presses his lips to mine.
And Peter... Peter is forgotten.
