Josh's p.o.v
I got in my car and sat there for a minute. What was I doing with my life? Where did I go wrong? I shouldn't of told her.
As I drove back to my place I ran to my bedroom, where my phone was.
"David, uh can we meet up at the park near my said immediately as my friend answered the phone.
"Hey man, definitely. I'll be there in ten" he said sounding shocked. Probably because he'd be the last person on earth I'd call. And he knows that.
Who did I love? What was I about to get myself into, again? I hate myself for what I just did. But, I guess it was my choice and I have to live with it now.
I got up and left, slamming my bed room door. Bennie looked scared.
"Sorry Ben" I said as I patted her head on the the way out. She started to whine. Probably because she knew I was torn up between all this relationship stuff.
When I reached the park, I saw an old friend standing there. Oh god, this was a huge mistake.
"Hey man" David said as he shook my hand.
"Hey" I said in a quiet but sad tone. He laughed and shook his head.
"I've always known you would come back" he laughed. I pulled out my wallet, probably regretting what I was gonna do next.
"Same thing?" He asked, I shook my head yes. I handed over the money and he handed over the drugs. Heroin.
It was about ten minutes when I finally got a chance to escape back to my car. I drove back home silently. I reached my apartment and went inside. I locked myself in my room. As I was lighting up the tinfoil, I heard Bennie scratching at the door.
After about ten minutes of sitting there doing the drugs, I heard a knock at the front door. It was a loud, obnoxious knock. Fuck, I had an idea of who it was.
I put everything in a drawer next to my bed. I unlocked my bedroom door and Bennie came running in. Probably to make sure I'm okay.
"I-I'm fine Ben" I stuttered, as I pushed past Bennie. She followed me to the front door. I opened it and saw exactly who I guess it to be. Amanda.
"Look Jo-" she started to say, before I smashed my lips to her. I was about to pull away when she pushed me inside and shut the front door, without breaking from the kiss. She started to kiss back. I pulled away, finally realizing that me and Amanda are over. I had to go talk to Alex, not kiss Amanda. She came closer and tried to kiss me again. I dodged her kiss.
"Amanda, stop" I said, starting to yell. She looked confused.
"But-" she began to say before I interrupted her.
"No, get out this was a mistake." I told her. I opened the door and pushed her out. I locked it just to make sure she wouldn't come back in and try anything. I sat on the couch and thought for a minute. Hopefully, she's gone and not still standing outside the door. I opened it, relives that she wasn't still there.
I made my way to Alex's apartment. I knocked on the door and she immediately opened it. She seemed relieved that it was me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.
"Alex we need to talk" I said. She nodded and I looked around. I saw empty alcohol bottles sitting on the counter, a lot of them. I was worried, she did mention an alcohol addiction before.
"I'm really sorry" I began to say before she met her lips to mine. I almost kissed back until I tasted alcohol on her breath. I pulled away.
"Alex" I said softly and looked her in the eyes.
"I'm sorry" she said, as I pulled her into a hug.
Maybe I wasn't the only one who relapsed today.
