The pain was unbearable. It physically hurt to know he was dead. His heart was crushed before my eyes. Every time I closed my eyes I saw it. The scene replayed in my mind. My mother talking with Daniel, about a family. I wanted this all so bad so I believed it could happen. I was completely oblivious to my mother's true intentions. She ripped out his heart and he fell to the ground of the stables. I ran to his side but he was already gone. His heart was nothing but a pile of dust at my mother's feet. That memory haunted me. I hadn't slept since it happened. How could I? The man I loved was taken from me and I am being forced to marry someone whom I won't ever love. I shut my eyes again. For a moment all was peaceful. Then the scene began to play. I cry out and hold the blankets to my body, my body shaking from the nightmare taking over me. My cries sounded as if I was in pain, because I was, on the inside.

Robin ran through the dark hallways of the castle. He hid in the shadows of the night as he made his way to the Kings chambers. King Leopold was the richest king of all. Robin was sent to collect at least twenty pounds of gold and bring it back to the camp site of his Merry Men. It was a group of thieves he had joined once his wife died. Although they followed one honourable rule, steal from the rich and give to the poor. Robin wasn't one to steal for himself, especially when others had much less. As Robin walked down the cold hallways he heard a faint screaming. He followed the noise thinking someone was hurt. Robin locates the room it was coming from and turns the brass door handle slowly. The door makes a creaking noise as he opens it but it could barely be heard over what he can only assume is a girl crying. As he enters the room he sees her. She is crying in hysterics and whimpering, letting out a painful scream every few moments. Why isn't anyone helping her? Why is she here all alone. Her eyes are closed, she must be having a nightmare.

Robin sits on her bed and touches her arm in attempt to calm her. Her breathing seemed to of calmed a bit, as he rubbed his hand up and down her arm. "It's ok, you're safe." Robin whispers soothingly. She stops shaking and rolls over on her back. Robin finally got to see her face, as it was covered in her long dark hair before. She is beautiful, although faint tear lines ran down her cheeks. She was still one of, if not the most beautiful woman Robin had ever seen. He takes her hand in his and brushes his thumb over the back of it. A small smile appears on her lips. Her eyes flutter open revealing a beautiful colour of brown. She looks at him for a moment, she couldn't really see more than a shadow of someone before her. She looks down at their hands clasped together and immediately pulls away. "Who- who are you?" She asks, nervously. "I'm Robin Hood, I just heard you crying from the hallways and thought you were hurt. I wanted to make sure you were ok." Robin replies. "Well I'm fine, now would you please get off my bed?" She asks and he nods. "Right, sorry." Robin says and stands. She sits up in the large bed.

"You said you heard me crying?" Regina asks. "Yes, you sounded like you were in terrible pain." Robin responds and she sighs. "I am." She replies quietly, looking down. "How so Milady?" Robin asks frowning. Regina wouldn't usually explain this to a complete stranger but Robin seemed different. He's caring and sweet, Regina trusted him for some reason. "The man I love died and now I'm trapped here being forced to marry a man I do not love." She says in a broken voice. "I'm so sorry." Robin replies, he knew exactly how she felt. He had lost his wife just about a year ago. "I know you probably don't care for sympathy but I've been though a similar situation although I didn't have to marry anyone else." He continues and she looks up at him, her watery gaze meeting his. "You have?" Regina asks, completely shocked. "Yes my wife died no more than a year ago, she was giving birth to my son. Neither survived." Robin responds, brokenly. Regina couldn't believe all he's been though. "That's awful, I'm sorry." She says. Regina grabs his hand and he smiles at her. There was something about him, a connection she felt between them.

"Not to be rude but, why are you here?" Regina asks. "If I tell you, you have to promise me not to say anything." Robin replies, she was the future queen he didn't want her calling guards in to take him to the dungeon. She was a bit hesitant to agree but she trusted him. "I promise." Regina says, squeezing his hand lightly. He smiles at her and sits down on the edge of her bed. "I came here to steal gold." Robin admits, and she frowns. "Your a thief?" Regina asks. "Yes but I steal from the rich and give to the poor." He says and she nods. "How honourable of you." Regina smiles. "You said you are trapped here, correct?" Robin asks. Regina sighs, "Yes and no matter how hard I try, there's no escape." Robin takes her other hand in his looking into her eyes. Her eyes were gorgeous, he had to admit he was getting completely lost in them. "What if I took you to my camp?" Robin suggests and her face lights up. "You'd do that? Robin, you just met me." Regina responds. "I know but I want you to have a life you want. I don't want you stuck here, miserably. No one deserves that." He says, rubbing his thumb along the back of her hand. She notices and feels her self blush. Why am I blushing? She thinks to herself. She can't honestly be falling for this man she just met.
