Robin woke up to the smell of bacon. Regina must've been making breakfast. He rolled over, seeing nothing but ruffled sheets which confirmed his suspicions about her whereabouts. He got out of bed and threw a t-shirt on before walking downstairs to help her out. When he entered the kitchen, he saw her in her bare feet and silky black pyjamas with her back to him as she tended to the bacon in the pan. He had almost forgotten about her little hair mishap last night. It wasn't really a little mishap, it was a big one but he wasn't going to make her feel worse than she did. Maybe just a little teasing.

"Hey, blondie." Robin said, ruffling her hair with his hand as he walked up beside her.

"Don't." Was her reply, giving him a wary look.

"It's cute, love." He laughed while walking around the kitchen. "Do we have any orange juice?" He asked, peaking into the fridge.

"Bottom shelf and no it's not. You told me last night it wasn't that bad, but when I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror I scared myself to death." She said, flipping the bacon as it snapped and popped in the pan.

"Regina, you need to calm down. So what your hair is blonde, appearance isn't everything." Robin replied while grabbing a few cups from the cupboard. He set them down and began pouring a glass of orange juice for her and himself.

She suddenly threw the tongs (she had been using to flip the bacon) onto the counter and he flinched. She stood there staring at him with her hand on her hip and her eyes locked on his. "So you're saying it looks bad then." Regina stated.

"No-"

"Then your saying you only love me for what's inside now."

"No, Regina-"

"Then what are you saying?"

"I don't know what I'm saying! Stop putting words in my mouth!"

There was a beat of silence where she just stared at him then she finally went back to cooking.

"Sorry." She muttered after awhile. "I'm just mad at myself." She sighed, while adjusting the temperature of the stove top.

"It's ok, I'm sorry for getting cross with you. I just wish you would see yourself like I see you." He replied, placing a kiss to her temple.

"Well that's hard to do considering I can't get past the fact that my hair is blonde, Robin." Regina sassed, rolling her eyes at him.

"Yes but-"

"Mama?" She heard Roland's voice from behind them. She slowly turned around, giving him a smile. She couldn't help but smile every time he called her that, it warmed her heart.

"Hi, baby. How was your sleep?" Regina asked, hoping to get his mind onto anything other than her hair. She crouched down, picking him up and putting him on her hip.

"It was good. Except my monkey woke me up again." Roland replied, beginning to play with her hair.

"He did? How-"

"Papa, what happened to Mama's hair?" He cut in to ask. Robin couldn't help the laugh that escaped at his sons innocent question.

"Um... well she just decided to switch up her hair do." Robin shrugged his shoulders, walking past them and towards the cabinets of dishes.

"It was a little accident, actually." Regina said, placing Roland down on the counter. He usually loved to help her with breakfast or anytime she would bake.
